Этот праздник – двойной, ведь сегодня мы вспоминаем ещё одну дату – 9 мая 1944 года, когда от фашистских захватчиков был освобождён славный город-порт Севастополь.

В память о двух майских днях 1944 и 1945 годов российские дипломаты и члены их семей приняли участие в поэтическо-патриотической акции.

On 9 May 2022 H.E. Mr. Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of Russia to Cambodia paid a visit to the Cuban diplomatic mission in the Kingdom to honour the memory of the deceased H.E. Mr. Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic, and to express the condolences to the people of Cuba.

Состоявшиеся в 1956 г. обмен дипломатическими миссиями и визит Принца Нородома Сианука в Советский Союз положили начало поступательному налаживанию связей, основанных на принципах дружбы, взаимного доверия и плодотворного сотрудничества.
СССР внёс весомый вклад в дело развития Камбоджи, её восстановления после освобождения от режима геноцида «красных кхмеров», а также достижение Парижских мирных соглашений (1991 г.).
Сегодня наши страны продолжают активный диалог и сотрудничество на широком спектре направлений, ведут взаимодействие на международных и региональных площадках.

🇷🇺🇰🇭On 13 May Russia and Cambodia mark the 66th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The exchange of diplomatic missions and the visit of Prince Norodom Sihanouk to the Soviet Union in 1956 paved the way for the steady advancement of bilateral interactions, based on the principles of friendship, mutual trust, and fruitful cooperation.
The USSR made a significant contribution to the development of Cambodia, its restoration after the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime, as well as reaching the Paris Peace Agreements (1991).
Today our two countries continue their active dialogue and cooperation in a wide range of areas, develope interactions within the international and regional platforms.
The Embassy congratulates the compatriots living in the Kingdom and the friendly Cambodian people on this important date.

🇷🇺🇰🇭13 мая с.г. по случаю 66-й годовщины установления дипломатических отношений между Россией и Камбоджей в клубе российской дипмиссии в Пномпене состоялся приём с участием дипломатов Посольства и руководства Министерства иностранных дел и международного сотрудничества Королевства.

В ходе мероприятия с приветственной речью выступили Посол России в Камбодже А.В.Боровик, а также Министр при Премьер-министре, Постоянный государственный секретарь местного внешнеполитического ведомствa Уч Борит.

Гостям был представлен короткий видеосюжет об истории развития двусторонних связей, а также организована фотовыставка.

🇷🇺🇰🇭On 13 May 2022 the Club of the Embassy in Phnom Penh received the diplomats of the Russian diplomatic mission and the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Cambodian diplomatic relations.

During the meeting H.E. Mr. Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of Russia to Cambodia, as well as H.E. Mr. Ouch Borith, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, Standing Secretary of State of the local Foreign Ministry, delivered welcoming remarks.

The guests were presented with the short video on the history of the bilateral relations development, with a photo exhibition arranged.

On 17 May 2022 Н.Е. Mr. Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with Н.Е. Lieutenant General Hun Manet, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army.

The conversation focused on discussion of the matters of development of the bilateral interactions between the two countries in the substantive area, with the exchange of views took place on the pressing topics of international and regional agenda.

🇷🇺🇦🇲🇧🇾🇰🇿🇰🇬🇹🇯 The Kremlin hosted a meeting of the heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation.

On the agenda:
▫️ key issues of cooperation within the CSTO,
▫️ topical international and regional problems,
▫️ measures to further improve the collective security system.

💬 President of Russia Vladimir Putin:

▫️ Our current high-priority task is to further improve and streamline the work of the CSTO and its governing bodies. We will also provide the collective CSTO forces with modern weapons and equipment.

▫️ This autumn, there are plans to hold an entire series of joint CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

▫️ During the special operation in Ukraine, documentary evidence was obtained that components of biological weapons were developed in close proximity to our borders. We count on our colleagues supporting the earliest possible implementation of Russia’s initiative to operationalise the designated CSTO council.

▫️ In this context, it is important to build up cooperation with our “natural” partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the Commonwealth of Independent States. By the way, we think it would be appropriate and correct – we will discuss this – to grant the CIS observer status in the CSTO.

▫️ Unfortunately, in our neighbouring country, Ukraine, neo-Nazism has been on the rise for a long time now, to which some of our partners from the “collective West” turn a blind eye. Nowhere are Nazis being glorified at the state level. But unfortunately, this is happening in Ukraine.

▫️ Russia has no problems with Finland and Sweden. Therefore, there is no direct threat to Russia in connection with NATO’s expansion to these countries. But the expansion of its military infrastructure to these territories will certainly evoke a response on our part.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: I would like to congratulate you on the 3️⃣0️⃣th anniversary of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy. Its activities are a fine example of Russian expert involvement in the foreign policy process.

▫️ We did everything in our power to avoid a direct conflict. But they issued a challenge and we have accepted it.

▫️ We do not remember anything like the current massive and synchronised expulsion of diplomats happening even in the grimmest Cold War years.

▫️ There are no traitors among our diplomats, although such attempts have been made from abroad and within the country.

▫️ The Americans started preparing the current crisis long ago, right after the end of the Cold War, having decided that the way to global hegemony was then open. NATO's eastward expansion has been one of the key components of such a course.
