⚠️Ukraine's armed formations continue to openly and widely use health and cultural institutions, residential buildings, churches, kindergartens and schools and other civilian facilities to shelter military units and deploy weapons, while there is no question of evacuating civilians from these facilities and thousands of people are being held by the nationalists as human shield:
🔹members of Ukrainian armed formations have equipped strongholds in and around pre-school and general education facilities in Kramatorsk (School No. 31), Slavaynsk (Schools No. 12, 20, kindergartens No. 15 and 23) and Druzhkovka (School No. 8) in the Donetsk People's Republic, they placed ammunition depots and heavy weapons, including artillery and MLRS, while residents of nearby houses are forcibly kept in basements without water and food under the pretext of ensuring their safety;
🔹in Bakhmut, Donetsk People's Republic, nationalists have equipped firing positions and sniper points on the upper floors of apartment buildings on Defenders of Ukraine Street, the approaches to the buildings are mined, but the local population is deliberately not informed about this.
❗️It should be noted that, to date, the World Health Organisation has still not adequately assessed the use by the nationalists of medical facilities as strongholds and firing points for combat operations, rather than for the direct purpose of providing medical care.

Press release on global food security in the context of a statement by the G7 foreign ministers
We noted the final statement by the foreign ministers of the G7 countries, whereby they accused Russia of unilateral steps to undermine the agricultural potential of Ukraine and worsen the status of global food security.
☝️ In this context, we would like to remind others about the primary causes of the unfavourable situation that is taking shape in the world food markets.
👉 The crisis phenomena of the past few years are primarily linked to the miscalculations and accumulated system-wide mistakes in the macroeconomic (including finances and trade), energy (including climate) and food policy of the collective West.
👉 The COVID-19 pandemic made a bad situation worse. Its consequences, including the disruption of production and marketing chains, and higher freight and insurance costs, have caused even more turbulence in the world food and other markets.
Importantly, the unilateral actions by the Western states, primarily the G7 countries, have aggravated the disruption of logistics and financial chains for food supplies to the world markets.

23 мая в формате видеоконференции прошло Совещание старших должностных лиц России и стран Ассоциации государств Юго-Восточной Азии (АСЕАН) на уровне заместителей министров иностранных дел. Российскую делегацию возглавил И.В.Моргулов.
Обсуждены перспективы развития российско-асеановского стратегического партнерства в соответствии с решениями, принятыми на встрече лидеров в октябре 2021 года, а также практические аспекты подготовки встречи министров иностранных дел Россия-АСЕАН в августе с.г. Проведен обстоятельный разговор о путях продвижения взаимодействия в политической, экономической и гуманитарной сферах.
Состоялся углубленный обмен мнениями по актуальной международной и региональной проблематике, включая ситуацию на Украине, а также вопросам формирования современной архитектуры безопасности в АТР, совместного противодействия общим вызовам и угрозам.
Встреча прошла в конструктивной атмосфере, отражающей отношения традиционной дружбы и стратегического партнерства между Россией и АСЕАН.

В ходе мероприятия был изложен ход специальной военной операции Вооружённых Сил Российской Федерации в Донбассе и на Украине, затронута проблематика функционирования на территории упомянутой республики биологических лабораторий с американским участием, расширения НАТО в Европе, а также текущее взаимодействие в рамках диалогового партнёрства Россия-АСЕАН.
Были даны ответы на интересующие местную прессу вопросы.

During the event, the guests of the meeting were informed about the course of the special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Donbass and Ukraine. The briefing touched upon the issues of the functioning of biolaboratories on the territory of the aforementioned republic with the American participation, NATO expansion in Europe, as well as the current interactions within Russia-ASEAN dialogue partnership.
The members of the local press received answers to the questions.
В ходе мероприятия был изложен ход специальной военной операции Вооружённых Сил Российской Федерации в Донбассе и на Украине, затронута проблематика функционирования на территории упомянутой республики биологических лабораторий с американским участием, расширения НАТО в Европе, а также текущее взаимодействие в рамках диалогового партнёрства Россия-АСЕАН.

🔹 Since 2009, we have repeatedly proposed concluding a special treaty that would guarantee the security of all countries, including Ukraine, without the expansion of NATO or other military-political alliances.
🔹 We have quit the Council of Europe of our own accord. From an organisation concerned with unity of the European legal space, the CE has degenerated into a tool of US interests (even though the United States is just an observer and not a member of the Council of Europe).

📃The international exhibition movement has become the latest victim of the massive anti-Russia campaign pursued by the collective West to push our country out of all areas of cooperation. It is needless to speak about fair competition for the right to hold world universal exhibitions under such conditions.
🔹Apparently, Moscow’s bid to host EXPO 2030 cannot expect a fair and impartial evaluation against four other candidates even if it had indisputable advantages.
🔹In response, the Russian Federation took the principled decision to voluntarily withdraw Moscow’s bid for the right to host EXPO2030. Notice was sent as required to the Bureau International des Expositions on May 23, 2022.
🔹️We hope that the necessary conditions will emerge in the future for Russia to compete on equal terms for the right to host a World Expo.

🔹Apparently, Moscow’s bid to host EXPO 2030 cannot expect a fair and impartial evaluation against four other candidates even if it had indisputable advantages.
🔹In response, the Russian Federation took the principled decision to voluntarily withdraw Moscow’s bid for the right to host EXPO2030. Notice was sent as required to the Bureau International des Expositions on May 23, 2022.
🔹️We hope that the necessary conditions will emerge in the future for Russia to compete on equal terms for the right to host a World Expo.

⚠️ According to information received from captured Ukrainian servicemen, militants of nationalist battalions are preparing another provocation with the use of toxic substances in Sumy.
▫️The neo-Nazis plan to shell Russian border territory from a residential area in the city and provoke Russian units to retaliate, after which they will blow up chemical tanks.
📹Foreign journalists are in Sumy to take photographs and video.
▫️This cynical action will soon be used by the Kiev authorities to accuse the Russian Armed Forces of allegedly using chemical weapons and indiscriminate strikes on civilians.
▫️Moreover, while previously in preparation for such provocations the civilian population was withdrawn from the area of planned contamination, now, in order to maximise the resonance, no warning was given to the population.
❗️We warn the "civilized West" as well as the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in advance that the above and other similar provocations about alleged "Russian atrocities" are soon to be widely spread by the Ukrainian authorities through the Western media and in various Internet resources.

💬 The West has declared a total war on us and the entire Russian world. Under the current circumstances, we need a detailed analysis of the Foreign Ministry’s effort to promote cooperation with civil society, including at the level of regions.
Priority areas:
1. Mobilising Russian NGOs’ capabilities to promote recovery and to provide humanitarian aid to residents of the DPR and the LPR, as well as the liberated Ukrainian territories.
2. Engaging public diplomacy channels for outreach activities with constructive international partners.
3. Using NGO resources to minimise the consequences of unilateral sanctions.
☝️ Working with our compatriots residing abroad is particularly important. They are at the forefront of dealing with the phenomenon known as Neanderthal Russophobia.
