🎙 Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov spoke with RT on a number of topical issues:
#West
💬 The US and other Western countries are making mistake after mistake. In general, their path in recent years is a path of mistakes and suffering. Suffering... in the inability to combine their ambitions, their arrogant expectation that everyone around them should obey them, and what they see in practice. Someone once used the expression "impotent rage" to describe this situation. I don't want to used this kind of cliché, but facts remains facts... this is something that could be described in terminology as a dangerous mixture megalomania with inferiority complex.
#InstanbulAgreement #GrainDeal
💬 Our firm position of what led to the collapse of the agreement of last year and cause the impossibility of continuing that part of these agreements, was stated by the Russian MFA. We had warned the UN and their leadership as well as our foreign partners about this for many months. This goes to demonstrate their inability to fulfil their part of the agreement.

🎙 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the 21st Doha Forum
📍10 December 2023:
💬 On the basis of five hundred years, the US and its allies built the model of globalization, which they believed would serve them well to continue to be number one in economy, in military exercises, in culture, politics, and so on and so forth.
And they thought that they would be using this globalization scheme to continue their domination.

⚠️ With massive armaments, military hardware and ammunition supplies to the Kiev regime, westerners are violating not only international law but even their own principles.
☝️ For instance, the EU ‘Common position’ on military technologies and equipment exports prohibits licensing weapons exports in case they:
✔️create clear risks of military purpose products use for internal repression in a recipient country – one either has to consider new Russian regions Russian or acknowledge attacks against their civilian population as internal repressions or even genocide (the EU is lost in its lies rejecting both, why bother);
✔️ lead to international humanitarian law violations – such as Kiev’s attacks on civilian infrastructure, including but not limited to hospitals, houses, schools, kindergartens, nuclear and hydroelectric power plants, bridges etc.;
✔️contribute to provoking or aggravating armed conflicts in a recipient country – just like the one fuelled by Western arms supplies in Ukraine.
☝️ The EU ‘Common position’ also stipulates that potential suppliers must take into account risks of these arms’ unauthorised re-export and diversion to illicit markets, a recipient country’s human rights situation as well as its fulfilment of international obligations in general.
❓Any matches with modern Ukraine yet? Sounds like a nice place to dump your deadly weapons so far, doesn’t it?

🎙 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov:
The prevailing discourse we are hearing both in the #West and in #Ukraine today is about a truce and only truce. It is about buying time to allow the Kiev regime to regain strength, with the help of the West, and resume its attempts to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, acting on their Western bosses’ instructions.
President Vladimir Putin has mentioned this repeatedly – during the Direct Line, at the Valdai Discussion Club meeting, and at the ‘Russia Calling!’ investment forum.
❗️We will not be satisfied with a truce.
We need reliable and legally binding agreements aimed at eliminating the root causes of the conflict, addressing problems such as common security in #Europe, #NATO expansion, the European Union’s recent decision to become an appendage of the North Atlantic bloc, in fact, erasing all differences between these organisations, and above all, upholding the rights of the people living in these territories who have supported reunification with the Russian Federation.

🎙 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov:
In terms of the impact of sanctions on our partnership with #African countries, the initial observation is that sanctions reveal the unreliability of those who impose them and their willingness to undermine all the principles of globalisation they once advocated: fair competition, the presumption of innocence, the sanctity of property, the free play of market forces, etc.
All of this has been obliterated in an instant.
☝️ In most instances, we endeavour to seek and establish opportunities for continued constructive cooperation with countries in #Africa and other continents, independent of the unlawful, unilateral and illegitimate actions of the collective #West.

The Brits quickly hushed up the fact that the “peacekeeping intervention” is stalling, shifting the focus to what they can do better: blowing smoke about the increasing unity of the West in putting pressure to bear on Russia and further military assistance to Kiev.
Not all EU and NATO member countries are ready to follow the proposed course of tightening sanctions against Russian assets.
Brussels seems to be still unable to comprehend which specific functions are required of the EU in the context of new dynamics regarding the Ukraine crisis.
<...>
Ukraine has become a bridgehead for carrying out a wide range of cyberspace operations against Russia. Entire units of special services and military departments from NATO countries are permanently stationed in Kiev and Lvov to coordinate the Zelensky regime’s actions in the digital environment.
Over 200'000 attacks were committed by the hacker community against Russian infrastructure facilities in 2023. The fact that the West does not denounce, and even encourages such malicious actions is quite telling.
#Germany #EUwarmongering
Friedrich Merz, chairman of the CDU/CSU and aspirant to the chancellorship, is urging preparation for confrontation with our country “in the coming years and decades.”
Hotheads in Berlin and other European capitals must recognise that the Russian Federation will respond promptly and decisively to any militaristic ambitions to pre-empt threats to its own security.

Over the past few days, the Americans have delivered missile and bomb attacks on the provinces of Sanaa, Sadah, Marib, Al Bayda, Dhamar and Hajjah, targeting not only military facilities but also civilian infrastructure.
We presented our views on the situation in Yemen in a statement following the March 15 telephone conversation between Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
We again call on parties to stop using force to resolve the conflict. We believe that only political and diplomatic methods can help find a durable stabilisation solution in Yemen and around it.
