👨🚀 First Man in Space Yuri #Gagarin visited #Cuba in late July 1961 as part of global #GagarinPeaceTour following his historic spaceflight. He became friends with 🇨🇺 Fidel Castro and thousands of Cuban people as well as Ernesto Che Guevara. Gagarin had very warm recollections of Cuba's hospitability.

🇷🇺🇲🇽👨🚀 The first man in space together with the first woman cosmonaut Valentina #Tereshkova arrived in #MexicoCity as guests of honour at the Int aeronautics conference.
🔸 During their stay in this Latin American country, the two heroes of the space exploration met with Mexico’s President Adolfo Lopez Mateos and gave many interviews.
☝️ On May 10-28, 2021, the festival “Yuri Gagarin: The Planet’s First Cosmonaut” will be held in #Mexico to mark the 60th anniversary of the first space flight. Mexico will kick off this festival, which will then roll on in a number of European and Asian countries.
