#Slovakia: the presidential run-off election which took place yesterday saw the leader of centre-left Hlas (S&D) and former Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini in first place, ahead of the independent Ivan Korčok (supported by PS-RE, KDH-EPP, SaS-ECR, D-EPP).

A geographical distribution of votes show Pellegrini dominating in the South and the rural areas while Korčok took over in the capital Bratislava and the second largest city Košice.
