Trinidad and Tobago: A govt bill to amend the constitution and grant Tobago greater self-governance has failed in the House, with 21 votes in favour and 16 against, short of the 31 required. The opposition echoed concerns raised by Tobago's regional govt.

#Brazil: Jair Bolsonaro's (PL, right) former Chief of Staff and running mate in the defeated 2022 ticket, Walter Braga Netto (PL, right), was arrested by the Federal Police today. Authorities claim he attempted to obstruct the investigation into the coup attempt of 2023.

#Grenada: MP Emmalin Pierre is elected the first female New National Party (centre-right) leader, replacing Opposition Leader Keith Mitchell, who has led NNP since 1989 to multiple wins, including three clean sweeps. Rival Peter David withdrew, citing an "unfair" process.
