⚡️ Global dialogue in art!
“Undoria” is a name that has already become a symbol not only of the unique geological heritage of the Ulyanovsk region, but also of the fruitful cooperation of young talents from the BRICS countries. From August 21 to 25, the IV BRICS International Youth Camp dedicated to the theme “Design of public spaces” was held on the territory of the farm “Own Farm”.
📅 25 young leaders from the BRICS countries worked for five days on artistic objects reflecting the beauty of the Ulyanovsk region. Special attention was paid to the popularization of the Undoria Geopark, which preserves a long-term geological heritage.
The Camp program was rich and intense: practical classes, panel discussions, thematic lectures, excursions to tourist sites in the region, including direct acquaintance with “Undoria”. A new tradition was also born at the Camp: handprints on a plaster wall, symbolizing unity and interaction to achieve a common goal.
🌏 The participants were divided into three international teams: artists, artisans and sculptors. As a result, each team presented its own art object, which will soon decorate the Undoria Geopark and the Undorovsky Paleontological Museum.
The first team created an interactive art object “Rebirth of the Past” - a prototype of ammonite made of tree stumps and glass. The second team created a “Marine Heritage” - ichthyosaur tails adorning the Undor eco-trail.
🐉 But the hallmark of the Camp was the “BRICSaurus” - an ichthyosaur model painted by the Camp participants, a bright and concise symbol of both the geological heritage of the Ulyanovsk region and the entire international cooperation of the BRICS countries.
The IV BRICS International Youth Camp ended with the solemn presentation of certificates to the participants.
📜 The Camp participants also expressed a desire to create a collection of BRICS children's fairy tales so that young children in their countries would know about the folk art of each other's countries.
