⚡️ The BRICS Youth Summit is a platform for global dialogue!
From July 22 to 26, the Ulyanovsk Region became the center of international youth dialogue by hosting the BRICS Youth Summit.
200 young representatives from Brazil, India, China, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, South Africa and Russia gathered together to discuss topical issues of international cooperation, share experiences and build the future together.
💬 Ulyanovsk has become a platform not only for discussion about global challenges, but also a space for creative exchange and new ideas. The summit included plenary sessions, working meetings, as well as a meeting with the participation of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Russkikx.
📝 The summit resulted in the adopted declaration, which reflects the main topics of discussion and includes specific proposals to strengthen educational cooperation, entrepreneurship development, digital literacy, the volunteer movement and many other important issues.
Proposals from the declaration will be sent to the BRICS Summit in Kazan in October 2024!
📲 During the summit, the participants were able to attend the presentation of the BRICS Youth Mediaplatform, the BRICS Universe photo exhibition, and also were able to become part of the BRICS Youth Radio broadcast, where interviews with summit participants and stories about the traditional values of the BRICS countries were played.

In March 2024, Sochi hosted the World Youth Festival, which brought together 20,000 young people from more than 190 countries! This event became the starting point for active international cooperation among young people.

The International Friendship Club in Ulyanovsk is a platform for interaction and cultural exchange among young people from different countries. Within the framework of which events aimed at developing international cooperation and strengthening friendship between the countries will be held.

The participants of the Russian Language and Literature Promotion program "DEFIS: Great Russian Word" were welcomed by Kira Ivanova, Acting Head of the Russia-BRICS Project Office.
The program was organized by the Ulyanovsk Civic Education Club with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The Russia-BRICS Project Office is a partner of the project.
"The Russian language, as one of the world's languages and the most important element of Russia's cultural code, deserves careful treatment and a modern approach to its popularization. The DEFIS project does it exactly that way — in a new, non-standard and exciting way. It is especially valuable that the emphasis is placed on the involvement of international students living in the Ulyanovsk region, including students from the BRICS countries. This not only helps to learn the language, but also creates a keen interest in the culture of Russia, its history and literature," said Ms Kira Ivanova.
