13-15 апреля 2023 г. в России пройдет I Международный форум молодых переводчиков. Форум организован по инициативе Правления Союза переводчиков России (СПР) при поддержке Комитета общественных связей и молодежной политики Правительства г. Москвы, ряда других организаций.

В число соорганизаторов Форума вошли Союз переводчиков-русистов Индии, Евразийский национальный университет им. Л.Н. Гумилёва (Казахстан) и другие партнерские вузы и организации СПР.

Цель Форума – сформировать пространство активного и заинтересованного взаимодействия молодых переводчиков Российской Федерации, Содружества независимых государств и других стран, создать условия для сохранения и продвижение главных гуманистических принципов перевода как сферы творческой деятельности.

На форуме будут обсуждаться практические вопросы переводческой деятельности в рамках различных языковых пар, в том числе, пойдет речь и о языках народов России, и русском языке как языках перевода.
Рабочие языки форума - русский и английский.

Общая регистрация продлится по 2 апреля 2023 года включительно (до 23:00 МСК).

On April 13-15, 2023, Russia will host the 1st International Forum of Young Translators. The Forum was organized on the initiative of the Board of the Union of Translators of Russia (UTR) with the support of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the Government of Moscow and a number of other organizations.

The co-organizers of the Forum included the Union of Russian Translators of India, the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov (Kazakhstan) and other partner universities and organizations of the SPR.

The purpose of the Forum is to create a space for active and interested interaction of young translators from the Russian Federation, the Commonwealth of Independent States and other countries, to create conditions for the preservation and promotion of the main humanistic principles of translation as a sphere of creative activity.

The forum will discuss the practical issues of translation activities within the framework of various language pairs, including the languages of the peoples of Russia and the Russian language as translation languages.
The forum's working languages are Russian and English.

General registration will last until April 2, 2023 inclusive (until 23:00 Moscow time).

The Association of translators-interpreters of Indian Rusists, with the support of the Institute of Translation (Moscow, Russia), in collaboration with the Embassy and the Russian House in India, as well as the Sahitya Academy, is organizing the International Conference “Rethinking the Meaning of Culture, Literature and Literary Translation.” It will take place on February 11-12, 2024.
At the conference, experts from India and Russia will exchange views on the importance of culture, literature and literary translation in the modern world.
The dialogue between Indian and Russian intellectuals has a long history. Perhaps this dialogue was also facilitated by translators of Indian literature into Russian and Russian literature into Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali...

On February 11-12, a discussion is being held in New Delhi on the issues of literary translation from Indian languages into Russian and from Russian into numerous dialects of the Asian country. The first day of the international conference “Rethinking the meaning of culture, literature and literary translation” is hosted by the Russian House, the second - by the Sahitya National Academy of Literature.
The opening speakers included the director of the Institute of World Literature named after A.M. Gorky of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vadim Polonsky, executive director of the Institute of Translation Evgeny Reznichenko, former head of the department of Slavic and Finno-Ugric languages at the University of Delhi Ranjana Saxena, professor at the Center for Russian Studies at the University. Jawaharlal Nehru (JNU) Ranjan Banerjee and JNU Professor Sonu Saini.

The Union of Russian Translators of India held a competition “My Pushkin: Translation of Poems into Hindi”. 61 young translators took part in it; the final of the competition took place on June 6 online.
The partners of the Union were the Russian Institute of Translation, the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkin, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Russian House in New Delhi and the International Award Board.
