With the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of India, Indian artist Nishant Kumar Meena took part in the XIX International Forum of Young Journalists "Dialogue of Cultures", which opened in Moscow.
More than 300 young journalists and bloggers from 85 regions of Russia and 35 countries, including India, gathered together to talk about the future of media, share experiences and look for new points of contact between cultures.
The grand opening of the forum began on May 19 with a flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and then continued in the legendary Khudozhestvenny cinema with a presentation of the participants' works and the opening of the multimedia exhibition "We Won Together", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
The author of the project was the President of the Media Congress of Journalists of Europe and Asia, Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia Mr Ashot Dzhazoyan.
The exhibits include works by Nishant Kumar Meena dedicated to the Leningrad blockade, subtly and deeply conveying the tragedy and courage through the prism of Indian perception.
The very next day, the forum participants met with the director and CEO of Mosfilm Mr Karen Shakhnazarov, learned about the history of the studio and its legendary collection of vintage cars. They also visited the Gorky Film Studio and walked along the routes of one of the main attractions of the capital - the Moscow Metro, from the oldest station to the newest.
Since May 22, the forum continued its work in St. Petersburg. The Hermitage Theater hosted the conference "Dialogue of the Young in a Changing World. Content of the Future", where the director of the Hermitage Mr Mikhail Piotrovsky and representatives of the leading media of Eurasia spoke.
The final event of the program was the multimedia exhibition and festival of short projects "I Live Here" in the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum - a vivid confirmation of the fact that the language of art and culture knows no boundaries.
The next meeting of the Youth Club at the Russian House in New Delhi will be held soon. As part of the event, Nishant Kumar Meena will give a lecture and also make a presentation as part of the 1st International Youth Forum.
