The exhibition “The Master’s Universe”, dedicated to the anniversary of Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947), opened at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The exhibition includes more than 150 reproductions on canvas and photographs from the Roerichs’ archive. It was prepared by the International Center of the Roerichs. Co-organizers are the Russian House and the Russian Embassy in India, the National Center for Public Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia, the International Roerich Memorial Trust in Naggar, the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly".
The multifaceted activities of Nicholas Roerich attracted the attention of Jawaharlal Nehru. In 1942, he came to the artist’s estate in the Himalayas with his daughter Indira. Future Indian leaders spend several days in conversations with Roerich, and this communication lays the foundation for creative cooperation between the peoples of Russia and India.

“I have been living in Varanasi for more than four years. For me this is the city of happiness. Watch how the color of the Ganges changes at different times of the day and at different times of the year, how the children running in the yard grow up, how the elders become wiser. And only the Ghats and temples remain unchanged, and you always want to draw them...”
🌄 You will see India and Nepal through the eyes of O. Levchenko: realistic painting is intertwined with impressionism in oil paintings, in color graphics - in oil and acrylic, and interior details are made of fabric and stone.

🏞 "Call of the Soul" by Klera Singh.
“I called my show “Call of the Soul” because when I paint, I’m happy and it’s like meditation. Some paintings depict mighty mountains with lakes, while others depict thickets of flowers. It is more like a walk in nature, which beautifies and enriches our lives.”
📆 On June 5 at 6:00 p.m., an exhibition of paintings by Klera Singh, a former radio presenter who worked for 54 years at All India Radio and is the first chairman of the Delhi Association of Russian Compatriots, will open in the Russian House.
🔹 This is Klera Singh's sixth solo exhibition.
🔖 “My first personal exhibition took place in 1964. The next one, many years later, in 1998. Some of my paintings are in private collections. This exhibition that I am exhibiting now appeared quite recently - during the Covid epidemic,” she said.
🔗 The exhibition is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
