One of the most mysterious places in Russia is Arkaim in the Chelyabinsk region. The name comes from the Turkic word "arch" - "ridge", "back", "base".
The city is located in the place of a natural tectonic fault in the earth's crust, in the crater of a volcano extinct millions of years ago, so it was called the "place of power" and surrounded by numerous legends and an aura of mystery.
There is a version that the ancient city was burned in a few days, and by the inhabitants themselves, as the researchers suggest. However, opinions on the reasons for this act are divided: one group of scientists believes that the Arkaimians destroyed the city before changing their place of residence, which was typical for that time, the other calls the Arkaimians fire-worshippers and associates the destruction of the city with one of the sacred rituals.
Archaeologists believe that the area of the city was 20,000 square meters. The building area was carefully planned, it was provided with water and even a sewer system. Inside each dwelling there were stoves and a well.
Today, in this cult place, tourists can see the dwellings of the Stone Age, as well as visit the museums of Arkaim. One of them displays authentic artifacts that tell about different areas of the life of the Arkaim people. There is also a museum with finds dating back to the Stone Age. Tourists can see the tools of ancient people found on the territory of the reserve: knives, hems, scrapers. And you can also personally touch history: take a copy of an ancient ax, look into a real hearth lined with stones, and get acquainted with the approximate diet of our ancestors.

Существует версия, что древний город был сожжен за несколько дней, причем самими жителями, как предполагают исследователи. Однако мнения о причинах этого поступка разделяются: одна группа ученых считает, что аркаимцы уничтожили город перед сменой места жительства, что было характерно для того времени, другая — называет аркаимцев огнепоклонниками и связывает разрушение города с одним из священных ритуалов.
Археологи считают, что площадь города составляла 20 000 квадратных метров. Территория застройки была тщательно спланирована, была обеспечена водой и даже канализационной системой. Внутри каждого жилого помещения располагались печи и колодец.
Сегодня в этом культовом месте туристы могут увидеть жилища каменного века, а также посетить музеи Аркаима. В одном из них выставлены подлинные артефакты, повествующие о разных сферах жизни аркаимцев. Есть тут и музей с находками, датируемыми каменным веком. Туристы могут рассмотреть инструменты древних людей, обнаруженные на территории заповедника: ножи, рубильца, скребла. А еще вы сможете лично прикоснуться к истории: взять копию древнего топора, заглянуть в настоящий очаг, обложенный камнями, и ознакомиться с примерным рационом наших предков.

A power amplifier for testing of space crafts has been developed in Chelyabinsk.
Scientists at South Ural State University have developed Russia's first import-substituting electrohydraulic power amplifier. This is a breakthrough in the domestic development of such devices, which is especially important against the background of many companies’ leaving from Russia.
For the first time the layout of the device will be presented at the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg, and at the end of 2025 a representative of the monitor organization will come from Moscow to Chelyabinsk to assess the performance of the prototypes.
