Dear friends, the photo exhibition โTwice Rescuedโ is open at Russian House Chennai from 10 May to 11 June, 2022.
Time: 10:00am to 5:00pm.
The exhibition was created in collaboration of Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow, with Russian House, Chennai. A photo exhibition is featuring photographs of artefacts from the collection that have been restored by the Pushkin State Museumโs Conservation Department.
The statue of John the Baptist is one of the objects selected for the Project for research and conservation of Donatello and other Renaissance mastersโ works from the collection of the transferred art damaged during WWII. This video shows the process of conservation of this wonderful piece.

A unique aspect of this photo project is that each wife is photographed in her spouse's military jacket. This symbolic gesture highlights the shared responsibility and commitment that these women carry.
