🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 #OTD We celebrate the anniversary of the signing of the historic Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation between the USSR and the Republic of India!

📆 On August 9, 1971, in Delhi, Foreign Ministers Andrei A. Gromyko and Sardar Swaran Singh signed this crucial document, which laid the foundation for a long-term partnership between two countries.

🟣The treaty enshrined the principles of mutual respect, equality, and non-interference in internal affairs, as well as outlined ways of cooperation in economic, scientific, and technical spheres. This agreement became a symbol of friendship and trust between the peoples of the USSR and India, making a significant contribution to strengthening peace and stability in the region!
