๐Today we will tell you about the new Russian space invention "Orel".
๐ฐ"Orel" is a spaceship for delivering people and cargo beyond low Earth orbit, for example, to the Moon. The device will be able to stay in autonomous flight for up to 30 days, and as part of the orbital station - up to one year. The launch is planned in 2025.

๐On the occasion of Cosmonautics Day we introduce Russian inventions in the Space industry!
๐ฐ"Spectrum-X-Gamma" consists of two mirror telescopes. They operate on the principle of oblique incident optics.
๐ญThe apparatus makes a complete overview of the sky and creates a map of the Universe in X-rays with large galaxy clusters. It studies the evolution of galaxies and investigates the nature of the dark energy that is causing the Universe to expand with great acceleration.
The invention weighs 2,712 kg. It was launched in 2019.

๐The Celebration of Cosmonautics Day started from famous Yuri Gagarin's words:"Poekhali! Let's go!" at Science City in Chennai!
๐ชThe photo exhibition of Museum of Cosmonautics (Moscow) โThe beginning of the Space Ageโ dedicated to the Cosmonautics Day was inaugurated today by Russian House in Chennai in the heart of Chennai at Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre.
๐Dr. S Soundararaja Perumal, Executive director of Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre mentioned at the inauguration: โWe all know that India and Russia are time tested friends. It is Russia who fully supported Indian Space programmes in the beginning stage. It has already become a good tradition to celebrate Cosmonautics Day together with Russian House in Chennai. And I am very glad to see many children and students who have come today to learn interesting facts and new information about Space explorationโ.
๐About the perspectives of Indo-Russian cooperation in Space Industry said Consul General of the Russian Federation Mr. Oleg Avdeev: โThe world is going through a serious transformation today, and along with the challenges that this period brings, new opportunities are opening up. In these conditions, the advanced and science-driven Space industry can contribute to strengthening ties between Russia and India through joint space explorationโ.
๐ฐThe exhibition โThe Beginning of the Space Ageโ tells about the one of the great milestones in human history โ the launch of the first artificial Earth Satellite on the 4th of October 1957 by the USSR. The launch of Sputnik 1 marked the beginning of the Space Age, and opened up a whole new realm of possibilities for space exploration and technological advancement.
๐ The exhibition will be open for the visitors till May 12 at Science City.
๐ค๐โคHappy Cosmonautics Day!

๐๐ฎ๐ณOnward, SUNward: On Indiaโs mission to study the sun! Congratulations! ๐
๐Indiaโs first space mission dedicated to studying the sun, in the form of a spacecraft named Aditya-L1, was successfully launched!
๐Aditya-L1 will study the sun in multiple wavelengths. Even though it is the star closest to the Earth and has been and continues to be observed by a panoply of telescopes, the sun still holds many secrets. Some of them are simply waiting to be discovered.
๐In the next four or so months, Aditya-L1 will travel to the L1 Lagrange point, a point 1.5 million kilometres from the earth, where the spacecraft will have an unobstructed view of the star while it stays in a halo orbit around the point.

Do you know when the prototype of the world's first orbital station was sent into Space?
๐ฐ 55 years ago on 16 January, two Soyuz-4 and Soyuz-5 spacecraft docked together. Four Soviet cosmonauts lived and worked on this prototype for several hours.
On 14 January, the Soyuz-4 spacecraft, piloted by Vladimir Shatalov, took off. And on 15 January, Boris Volynov, Alexey Eliseev and Yevgeny Khrunov went into space on the Soyuz-5. On 16 January, the two spacecraft docked in Earth orbit. The difficulty was that the cosmonauts had to go into open space to transition between the ships, as there was no pressurised transition compartment.
๐ Khrunov and Eliseev returned to Earth on Soyuz-4 together with its commander Shatalov. About a day later, the Soyuz-5 landed with Boris Volynov on board. The flight of Soviet cosmonauts made possible the appearance of the Salyut, Mir and ISS stations.
Did you dream of becoming a cosmonaut as a child? Or perhaps now you want to become a space tourist? ๐ฉโ๐ Write in the comments.
