Это додо. Первое фото - самое верное. Потому что на картине - только тень, исчезающий силуэт исчезнувшей птицы. На остальных - то, что по памяти рисуют. Говорят - она была любопытной и безобидной. Говорят, она любила сладости. Ее истребили - века назад, как и маврикийских черепах. Как и еще много эндемических животных и растений. Приехавшие на остров люди. Теперь - вместо маврикийских черепах здесь живут сейшельские. Тоже самое - с черным и красным деревом, с десятками видов летавших и ползавших здесь. Человек умеет разрушать все вокруг себя. И ему кажется, что можно поправить. Только это не совсем так. Доказано птицей додо. Ставшей символом этой страны. Оставшейся на ее гербе - как напоминание, насколько не только на этом острове все хрупко.

This is a dodo. The first picture is the most correct one. The painting displays just a shadow, a vanishing silhouette of the extinct bird. Other pictures show just the memories. They say the bird was curious and harmless. It loved the sweets. Dodos were exterminated centuries ago as the Mauritian turtles and other endemic species. People who came to the island killed them. Now, instead of the Mauritian turtles, the Seychelles ones live here. The same happed to the black and the red tree, and to dozens of animals and plants. Humans can destroy everything around them. And they think they could fix it all. But it is not actually true as well proven by the dodo. The bird became a symbol of the country. It is present on the Mauritian national emblem as a reminder how fragile is everything and not just on this island.
