#Opinion by Maria Zakharova:

💬 I find the Western assertion that Russia has decided to redraw the map of Europe to be very entertaining.

It’s funny to hear this thesis from Germany, which has its current borders exclusively because they were redrawn in the late 1980s. Let me remind you the main political slogan of Chancellor Willy Brandt: Jetzt wächst zusammen, was zusammengehört (“Now what belongs together, is growing together”). In the 1980s, we understood the Germans’ aspirations and met them halfway. That was due to our goodwill, despite the fact that Nazism had destroyed half of our country and killed more than 25 million of our citizens. Berlin has no right to even mention the redrawing of borders: their own historical experience is horrifying to remember, though it must never be forgotten either.

It's funny to hear this thesis from Eastern European countries, many of which became sovereign states exclusively because borders were redrawn in the last few decades. While enjoying their newly gained privileges and having forgotten about morality and responsibility, these capitals didn’t wish to know how the people who sacrificed so much for Europe in the 20th century and were divided for it felt. They didn’t give a damn about it. But we do.

It's funny when this thesis is linked with the situation in Ukraine, which got its statehood for the first time in history because borders were redrawn. First in 1918, and then again 70 years later.

It’s funny to hear about the redrawing of borders from across the ocean, after the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, after support for redrawing Serbia’s borders and the US affair with “Kosovo’s independence.”

☝️ They need to decide once and for all whether the redrawing of borders is good or bad. And if they say that it all depends on the context, it would be difficult to find a more suitable context than constant oppression of minorities because of their language and ethnicity which ended in eights year of terror.

💬 Poland, as represented by former Foreign Minister Sikorski, thanked the United States for blowing up a gas pipeline.

Estonian Foreign Minister Reinsalu congratulated the Ukrainian special forces on the Crimean bridge attack.

❗️ Murders, diversions, destructions, provocations and frame-ups – this criminal logic has bound NATO regimes with mutual collective villainesque responsibility.

💬 Last week, Valery Zaluzhny, the Commander in Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, posted a photo on his Twitter account. It appears that this was a part of his ongoing PR campaign, aimed at promoting... oneself. He seems to have outdone himself, holding an automatic weapon and wearing a bracelet on his wrist. Apparently, a man fighting a war for "Western values" should wear...a sports bracelet to underscore his masculinity... 🤔 and this bracelet is no ordinary one.

This bracelet has a swastika imprinted on it.

Not your runes, “death’s head,” 10,000 Buddhas or solar symbols, but real Nazi-approved swastika. It symbolises national-socialism and is the damned bent cross of murderers, henchmen, punitive forces and fascists. The Kiev regime offered ridiculous excuses after this photo went viral and caused a public outcry and laid blame on... Twitter for compressing the photo so much that… a swastika magically appeared up on the bracelet. Perhaps that was a way for officials on Bankova Street to get back at Elon Musk for his peaceseeking tweets.

In his comments, Zaluzhny confirmed this made up theory of a malicious Twitter network conspiracy that brands Ukrainian military with swastikas. Oh, if only Twitter could do this. So far, the artificial intelligence of this social media network shames people for adding double zeroes to extra large (х0х0L*).

In reality, the original bracelet mentioned by Zaluzhny’s apologists is completely different from the one worn by the high-ranking Ukrainian neo-Nazi, who is carrying an assault rifle.

Let’s compare the original photo with the ridiculous substitute: this versus that

Summing up, the Commander in Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is wearing a bracelet with a swastika, plain and simple, and nothing in the world can justify this fact.

*Х0х0л (Khokhol) is a colloquialism referring to Ukrainians. Although humorous in nature (albeit slightly tongue-in-cheek), its use has been indiscriminately banned by Western social media platforms coming under pressure from far-right Ukrainian nationalists

💬 WWII-era ordnance on the Baltic Sea floor is complicating the investigation into the suggested acts of subversion on the #NordStream1 and #NordStream2 gas pipelines, according to Danish Defence Minister Morten Bødskov, who was speaking before a NATO meeting. He said the region is known for having WWII-era ordnance, both exploded and unexploded, and given the amount on the seabed, it is not easy to conduct an investigation.

I have a few questions for the Danish Defence Minister:

1. WWII-era ordnance did not interfere with the laying of the pipeline, did it?

2. Can you explain what a modern NATO mine destroyer was doing under the Nord Stream 1 pipeline in 2015?

3. Does Mr Bodskov know that all the forest in Moscow’s northern suburbs, which the Germans advanced through, is still littered with ordnance from WWII? But this doesn’t prevent us from building housing, factories and roads.

💬 While explaining the EU’s foreign policy idea, its High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell compared Europe to a garden, and the rest of the world to a jungle that can invade that garden if Europeans aren’t more engaged with it. The chief of European diplomacy said this on Thursday at the opening of the European Diplomatic Academy in Bruges, Belgium.

“Europe is a garden. We have built a garden. Everything works. It is the best combination of political freedom, economic prosperity and social cohesion that the humankind has been able to build – the three things together… The rest of the world…is not exactly a garden. Most of the rest of the world is a jungle, and the jungle could invade the garden. The gardeners should take care of it, but they will not protect the garden by building walls,” Borrell said. According to him, the “gardeners” must be more open to the world and engage with it: “Europeans have to be much more engaged with the rest of the world. Otherwise, the rest of the world will invade us, by different ways and means.”

To continue this analogy, the European gardener is in a vegetative state.

On a serious note, Europe built that “garden” through the barbaric plundering of the “jungle.” Borrell could not have phrased it any better: the world’s most prosperous system, created in Europe, nurtured by roots in colonies which they ruthlessly oppressed.

Their philosophy of segregation and superiority became the underlying idea of fascism and Nazism. Both world wars in the 20th century were triggered by Germany’s ambition to “restore justice” and re-divide Europe’s colonies that country had failed to grab for itself. Achieving that goal was to ensure Germany the same kind of prosperous and carefree life of the exploiters living in Borrell’s homeland, Spain, as well as in France, Britain, and Portugal.

💬 Dmitry Kuleba wrote the following in his Twitter-account: “Russia has launched a new publicity stunt focused on hunger. Moscow has promised to send 500,000 tonnes of free grain, which has most probably been stolen in Ukraine, to other countries within the next four months. However, by blocking the grain corridor Russia has stopped the delivery of 2 million (!) tonnes of grain to Algeria, Yemen, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and other countries RIGHT NOW.”

And now the truth:
1. Russia has long been offering to deliver ITS OWN fertilisers to the countries that need them. The offer has been made by the President (1, 2) and the Foreign Minister.
2. Russia is also ready to send up to 500,000 tonnes of ITS OWN grain to the poorest countries free of charge.
3. The Kiev regime, due to its own greed, is unwilling to give anything to anybody even when others are ready to help others for free.
4. The grain deal has been killed by Zelensky and his terrorists, controlled by British special forces, so as to complement nuclear blackmail with a grain ransom. The money and weapons they receive are no longer enough for them. They want more deaths. Money, weapons, and death are the devilish force behind the Kiev regime.

“Did UK Prime Minister Liz Truss send a message to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken saying “It’s done” immediately after the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion?

Millions of people around the world are now waiting for an official response to this question and they have a right to know what happened to global energy security and what role the Anglo-Saxons played in the terrorist attack.

💬 What is political hypocrisy? Let me explain using a specific example.

Last year, EU countries and those that joined them abstained during the vote on the same text of the UN General Assembly’s draft resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism.

The capitals of European Union member states have always abstained from voting except in one case. In 2011, there was a split in the European Union when certain countries voted against (the majority), while the rest abstained.

This year, they all voted against the draft resolution at the Third Committee voting, which precedes the General Assembly’s vote – both those who supported Nazism in the 20th century and those who suffered under Nazis and were nearly exterminated.

Once again: this is the same draft resolution text. Its essence can be questioned only by those who are totally amoral.

💬 The Intercept, a US-based portal, has rolled out a massive investigation into the failures by biologists at American laboratories studying various viruses to comply with biosafety standards when working with dangerous pathogens.

There were, in fact, many such failures.

The article reports on hundreds (!) of serious incidents at American biolabs over the past two decades.

The journalists sifted through over 5,500 pages of government reports, including documents from the National Institutes of Health, and came to conclusions that are truly terrifying. Sealing failures have been taking place at BSL-4 labs, which are supposed to adhere to the highest safety standards and store the deadliest and highly contagious strains. There is also evidence of people getting infected, as in the case of a post-graduate student from Washington University who was infected with the Chikungunya virus as a result of an error. In 2010, an autoclave malfunctioned at a University of California lab, potentially exposing its staff to a lethal strain of the SARS virus, but luckily no infections were reported. The article also mentioned “cascading errors” which can pose an immediate threat to the epidemiological situation in the United States.

If we look beyond Covid-19, we see that criminal negligence reigns supreme at biolabs on American soil. Imagine how little care US researchers have for ensuring the safety of dangerous strains elsewhere. If a leak happens there, this will offer them a marvellous opportunity to undertake an external participant observation, for purely scientific purposes, of course, and after that sell their medicines to the affected population.

This is a lottery where they can only win. But a deadly one at that.

💬 Remember the story where the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict Pramila Patten made a statement about the Russian Army allegedly using Viagra to "rape" Ukrainians? 🤦‍♂️

In a recent telephone conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus, she crossed the T’s on this abuse issue, admitting that she did not have the authority to conduct such an investigation, nor did she have even a single shred of evidence in support of her allegation: “It’s not my role to investigate. I do not have this authority. I sit in New York, in an office in New York, and I have advocacy powers. My role is not to investigate. The investigation is being conducted by the Human Rights Watch Group and the International Commission of Inquiry. There is nothing about Viagra in their reports.

She then proceeded to completely disavow her impartiality, citing iron-clad arguments: “I want to once again declare my full support and the support of my office to the government of Ukraine and the people of Ukraine. On May 3 in Kiev, I signed a framework agreement on cooperation with the government of Ukraine.”

💬 The United States is blaming Russia for the missile incident in Poland regardless of the results of the investigation – the White House.

Now the Americans will finally understand why President John F. Kennedy’s assassin was never found, why the 9/11 terrorist attacks were not prevented in 2001, why the politicians and related officials in America come out unscathed from the dirtiest cases, and why thousands of high-profile crimes have not been disclosed.

The US government could not care less about the results of an investigation. The White House has never been so open about this.

❗️ The US government can always find someone to blame based on political motives.

💬 Every year on January 27, the liberation of camp prisoners by the Red Army is marked at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum located on the site of the former Nazi death camp. Before 2021, the programme always included an address by the Russian Ambassador to Poland. But not anymore.

In January 2022, Russian diplomats were not invited to speak at the event for the first time. In May 2022, they closed the permanent exhibition in Block 14, which was prepared by the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War. They did so for a laughable (or lamentable?) reason: the expiration of operating agreements between the Polish and Russian museums. It was done covertly; nobody had notified the Russian party. Moreover, the Polish side avoided a direct dialogue with the Moscow-based museum and Russian diplomats for over two months.

Can you imagine anything more hypocritical? Here you are then. This year, the diplomats of the country successor of the Soviet Union, whose soldiers saved the world from the Nazi plague, have not been invited to the event at all.

Indeed, if you are set to cancel the historical truth and memory of the liberators that has become unacceptable, this should be done completely, so that no Russian faces at the event would stir up Germans’ and Poles’ conscience, if there is any.

I would like to tell those who will eagerly explain the situation with the ongoing conflict that problems did not begin at Auschwitz in 2022, and not even in 2014 but as far back as 2004.

That year, the museum’s authorities were displeased with the materials Russian experts prepared for the 60th anniversary of the camp’s liberation. They refused to budge, and the opening of the renewed exhibition was postponed until 2013. As usual, they had an ingenious reason: people from the regions that were incorporated into the Soviet Union in 1939-1941 were referred to as Soviet citizens (!).

No matter how hard our European non-partners may try to rewrite history, memory of the horrors of Nazism and the heroic Soviet liberators will not be erased. After our exhibition at Auschwitz was closed, the Victory Museum launched an online project, Auschwitz: The Truth. The Russian Military History Society, the Russian Historical Society, Russian museums, the Russian Foreign Ministry and its foreign offices regularly post historical materials online, including the truth about the liberation by the Red Army of Nazi camps in the countries that are so eagerly and ardently supporting the neo-Nazis in Ukraine now.

The Americans claim they “had nothing to do” with the explosions of the Nord Stream pipelines even though the findings by renowned investigative reporter Seymour Hersh are widely available.

We know that they know that everyone knows that this is a lie.

The problem is not that “the US” is the only logical answer to the oldest question in legal practice, Cui bono (who benefits?) that makes any sense; the problem is that the Americans are simply lying. I could tell you again about US Secretary of State Colin Powell’s vial hoax, but if you are tired of this story, I have plenty of others.

🇭🇹 There is this small nation, Haiti, and it has had bad luck. It was a colony – first Spanish, then French, and then for decades, it remained under American occupation. Each of these countries drained the island and its residents’ resources as much as they could, repaying them with poverty and devastation.

The Cold War was terrible in “warm” Haiti. François Duvalier, a former physician with the American Sanitary Mission, born a Haitian, was a dictator who established the most repressive government in Haiti and ordered arrests and massive human rights abuses. The details make one’s blood run cold: the detainees had their heads chopped off and were tortured by submerging them in baths of acid. Why didn't the Americans stand up for human rights then? Because they needed Duvalier as an anti-communist, to balance Fidel Castro's Cuba, as simple as that. Washington even provided the deranged dictator with money, while paying lip service to democracy.

In the 1990s, the Americans finally stopped respecting the sovereignty of the island republic altogether. In 1994, they pushed for Security Council authorisation for a special military operation in Haiti to restore President Jean-Bertrand Aristide to power because they wanted him there. They returned him to power. Later though, when they got tired of him, they just kidnapped him like a puppet and carted him off to Africa. This is how the George W. Bush administration helped build democracy in Haiti.

In 2021, Haitian President Jovenel Moise was assassinated; his wife, Martine, was also shot in the attack.

And what was found? Suspicions that the Americans were responsible again emerged in the Western information landscape immediately.

Also that week, the US Department of Justice issued a short press release declaring that several Americans associated with American PMC CTU Security had been arrested. Official Caracas reported that CTU had earlier been involved in the failed assassination attempt on Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. And at the same time, at the Security Council meetings on Haiti, the US representative continued to declare their intention to contribute to the development of democracy, organising fair elections and supporting NGOs.

Only the Americans occupy a country on a whim, remove or imprison presidents, or dispose them through murder. Consider these statistics: Haiti is ranked 170th in terms of per capita GDP (of 199); every second HIV-infected resident of the Caribbean islands is Haitian.

This is a very thought-provoking story for Zelensky, who so affectionately embraced Joe Biden in the centre of Kiev. How much must one hate their own people to consider a prospect similar to that of long-suffering Haiti for themselves?

So, to what extent is the US “not responsible” for sabotaging Nord Stream – as much as for the assassination of Haiti's president? Or for the vial hoax of the invasion of Iraq?

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev

Points of no return

🔸 The tragedy that is unfolding in Ukraine dates back to the late 20th century, to wit, the collapse of the Soviet Union.

🔸 Two dates can be considered points of no return. The first one can be traced back to the autumn of 2008, when the Western world supported Georgia's aggression against the Ossetian people. The second point of no return can be dated back to the spring of 2014, when the people of Crimea expressed their will during a legally held referendum and permanently rejoined their historical homeland.

🔸 If the issue of Russia’s existence is raised in earnest, it will not be decided on the Ukrainian front. Not by any means. It will be a question of the future existence of human civilisation. And there should be no ambiguity here. We don't need a world without Russia.

🔸 One can continue to flood the neo-Nazi Kiev regime with weapons and to thwart every opportunity to resume talks. Our enemies are doing just that and are unwilling to realise that their goals clearly lead to a total fiasco where everyone stands to lose.

🔸 Western countries and their satellites represent only 15 percent of the world population. There are many more of us, and we are much stronger. The peaceful might of our great country and the high standing of its partners are the key to preserving the world’s future.

💬 The monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were ordered to vacate the monastery before March 29.

Does the US Department of State know of this? Usually, [whereas it suits its agenda] the relevant section of the American foreign policy department has an emotional response to religious harassment.

💬 The other day, in Italian newspapers La Repubblica and La Stampa, Ukraine's FM Kuleba once again went off the rails. He called Italians who favour peace negotiations with Russia rather than settling the conflict on the battlefield, hypocrites.

He sees their support for negotiations as nothing short of wishing defeat and non-existence on his country. He does not regard it as peace but a “rest in peace” on Ukraine’s grave.

Please note this necrophilic catchphrase so brilliantly invented by Kuleba about his own country.

❗️ Meanwhile, he seems to agree that there is always room for negotiations although he has not seen Russia’s intention to negotiate. This is outrageous lying, considering that it is the regime he represents that prohibited any talks with Russia by law.

Here is how Kuleba commented on the reports in the Swiss media about alleged contacts in Geneva seeking a peace agreement: “If Ukrainians are there, they do not represent our government.”

This claim is particularly ridiculous considering that Ukraine’s entire post-Maidan government is riddled with foreigners who do not represent any of the Ukrainian people but rather the interests of influential Western groups. On some occasions, one doesn’t even have to imagine it: everybody remembers Biden hosting a government meeting in Kiev.

🤦 Kuleba was presumptuous enough to ask: “How exactly should Ukraine make a compromise? Would Italians give up Calabria, Sardinia, Piedmont or Trentino-Alto Adige? If so, then they have the moral right to demand that Ukrainians do the same.” It is regrettable that the comedian’s spokesperson did not clarify when exactly Italians forced representatives of those regions’ legitimate officials down on their knees, or sent tanks to Piedmont or Trentino-Alto Adige, or called Sardinia or Calabria residents animals, or forced them out of their own land.

When asked what would happen if the United States stopped supporting Ukraine, Kuleba made a sensational claim: “We will fight on without Biden.” What do you mean, without Biden? Didn’t Zelensky make prospects very clear, telling the United States that sons and daughters of the American people now had to fight for him?

Kuleba launched a full-blown comedy show by "predicting" that if Ukraine loses, it will mean the end of Europe as we know it. So optimistic of him.

☝️ The Europe we knew ended exactly when the European Union allowed Washington to govern its political institutions and fully submitted to NATO.
