🌐 WORLD YOUTH FESTIVAL 2024

The World Youth Festival (hereafter referred to as the “Festival”) will take place in Sochi, Russia, from March 1st to March 7th, 2024. The event is organized under Decree № 249 “On holding the World Youth Festival in 2024”, signed by the President of the Russian Federation on April 5th, 2023.

It is not the first time in Russia’s recent history that the country becomes a world center for uniting young people striving to develop genuinely friendly relations based on equality, mutual respect and responsibility for our shared future. It is also worth noting that the opening date of the Festival coincides with the 10th anniversary of the end of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014, and the Olympic Park will serve as the primary venue.

🤝 The Festival aims to unite the most progressive young people on the planet who are concerned about our shared future. This goal will be achieved through a series of scientific and educational activities, along with open discussions. These will allow the participants to address key youth development issues pertinent to the transition towards a more just, democratic and multipolar world order.

The event will bring together young leaders and specialists representing fields such as international relations, entrepreneurship, science, culture, sports, media, charity and volunteering from more than 180 countries. The participants’ age range is from 18 to 35 years old. A total of 20,000 participants, 10,000 from Russia and 10,000 from abroad, will attend the event after having passed a competitive selection process. The Festival will foster a collective vision for the future development of youth.

The Festival agenda includes discussions, educational, cultural and sports programs. These aim to consolidate global youth around the idea of justice and strengthen its role in the evolving system of international relations. All activities will consider the participants’ geographical background and address the development issues of various regions of the world (Americas, Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania).

The organizing committee puts special effort into the preparation of the discussion platform. There, participants will be able to exchange views on topical issues with their peers and invited speakers in the format of panel discussions, round tables and workshops. These issues include the current international agenda, as well as prospects for the youth movement developing in different regions of the world.

The cultural program is designed to educate the participants about the history, culture and traditions of Russia and other countries. The sports program will allow the participants to demonstrate their physical fitness and engage in a range of leisure activities.

The 6 official languages of the UN (Russian, English, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese and French) have been chosen as the working languages of the Festival.

The key events will take place on the Sirius Federal Territory (Sochi Olympic Park) – a cultural, scientific, educational and sports hub of the region. All facilities were built specifically for the XXII Olympic Winter Games and the 2014 XI Winter Paralympics. The infrastructure is based on a “15-minute city” concept: all venues and amenities, including hotels, recreation facilities, sports arenas, and event and lecture halls, are located within walking distance from each other making navigation easy and convenient. Participants will also be able to enjoy various types of cultural and leisure activities across the city of Sochi.

Selected members of foreign delegations will have the opportunity to partake in the regional program and travel to one of the Russian cities after the main Festival program ends.

A total of 5,000 volunteers over the age of 18 will help coordinate the event. They will undergo training in 20 certified volunteer centers.

🌐 ΤΟ ΠΑΓΚΟΣΜΙΟ ΦΕΣΤΙΒΑΛ ΝΕΟΛΑΙΑΣ 2024 🇷🇺

Το Παγκόσμιο Φεστιβάλ Νεολαίας θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Σότσι της Ρωσίας από την 1 έως 7 Μαρτίου 2024 με το Διάταγμα του Προέδρου της Ρωσικής Ομοσπονδίας Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν.

📍 Το Φεστιβάλ θα αποτελέσει ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα διεθνή γεγονότα για τη νεολαία και στοχεύει στην προώθηση των ιδεών ενός πολυπολικού κόσμου, στη δημιουργία συνθηκών για δίκαιη, ισότιμη, πολύπλευρη συνεργασία• οικοδόμηση σχέσεων εμπιστοσύνης μεταξύ των νέων από όλο τον κόσμο.

👥Στο Φεστιβάλ θα συμμετάσχουν 20.000 σύνεδροι, συμπεριλαμβανομένων 10.000 ξένων νέων πολιτών από περισσότερες από 180 χώρες: ηγέτες ΜΚΟ νεολαίας, εκπρόσωποι δημιουργικών/καλλιτεχνικών σχημάτων, πολιτικών κομμάτων, νέοι διπλωμάτες, επιστήμονες, ειδικοί στις διεθνείς σχέσεις, δημοσιογράφοι, επιχειρηματίες, φοιτητές και εθελοντές ηλικίας 18 έως 35 ετών.

🗓 Η ατζέντα του Φεστιβάλ περιλαμβάνει συζητήσεις, εκπαιδευτικά, πολιτιστικά και αθλητικά προγράμματα. Αυτά στοχεύουν στην εδραίωση της παγκόσμιας νεολαίας γύρω από την ιδέα της δικαιοσύνης και στην ενίσχυση του ρόλου της στο εξελισσόμενο σύστημα διεθνών σχέσεων. Όλες οι δραστηριότητες θα λαμβάνουν υπόψη το γεωγραφικό υπόβαθρο των συμμετεχόντων και θα εξετάζουν τα αναπτυξιακά ζητήματα διαφόρων περιοχών του κόσμου (Αμερική, Μέση Ανατολή, Αφρική, Ευρώπη, Ασία και Ωκεανία).

Η οργανωτική επιτροπή καταβάλλει ιδιαίτερη προσπάθεια για την προετοιμασία της πλατφόρμας συζήτησης. Εκεί, οι συμμετέχοντες θα μπορούν να ανταλλάσσουν απόψεις για επίκαιρα ζητήματα με τους συνομηλίκους τους και τους προσκεκλημένους ομιλητές με τη μορφή συζητήσεων σε πάνελ, στρογγυλών τραπεζιών και εργαστηρίων. Αυτά τα ζητήματα περιλαμβάνουν την τρέχουσα διεθνή ατζέντα, καθώς και τις προοπτικές για το κίνημα της νεολαίας που αναπτύσσεται σε διάφορες περιοχές του κόσμου.

Το πολιτιστικό πρόγραμμα έχει σχεδιαστεί για να εκπαιδεύσει τους συμμετέχοντες σχετικά με την ιστορία, τον πολιτισμό και τις παραδόσεις της Ρωσίας και άλλων χωρών. Το αθλητικό πρόγραμμα θα επιτρέψει στους συμμετέχοντες να επιδείξουν τη φυσική τους κατάσταση και να συμμετάσχουν σε μια σειρά από δραστηριότητες αναψυχής.

‼️ Οι 6 επίσημες γλώσσες του ΟΗΕ (ρωσικά, αγγλικά, αραβικά, ισπανικά, κινέζικα και γαλλικά) έχουν επιλεγεί ως γλώσσες εργασίας του Φεστιβάλ.

Οι βασικές εκδηλώσεις θα πραγματοποιηθούν στην Ομοσπονδιακή Επικράτεια Sirius (Ολυμπιακό Πάρκο του Σότσι) – ένα πολιτιστικό, επιστημονικό, εκπαιδευτικό και αθλητικό κέντρο της περιοχής. Όλες οι εγκαταστάσεις κατασκευάστηκαν ειδικά για τους XXII Χειμερινούς Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες και τους XI Χειμερινούς Παραολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του 2014. Η υποδομή βασίζεται σε μια ιδέα «πόλης 15 λεπτών»: όλοι οι χώροι και οι υποδομές, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των ξενοδοχείων, εγκαταστάσεων αναψυχής, αθλητικών γηπέδων και των αιθουσών εκδηλώσεων και διαλέξεων βρίσκονται σε κοντινή απόσταση το ένα από το άλλο, κάνοντας την μετακίνηση εύκολη και βολική. Οι συμμετέχοντες θα μπορούν επίσης να απολαύσουν διάφορα είδη πολιτιστικών και ψυχαγωγικών δραστηριοτήτων σε όλη την πόλη του Σότσι.

Επιλεγμένα μέλη ξένων αντιπροσωπειών θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να συμμετάσχουν στο περιφερειακό πρόγραμμα και να ταξιδέψουν σε μία από τις ρωσικές πόλεις μετά το τέλος του κύριου προγράμματος του Φεστιβάλ.

🙋‍♀️🙋Συνολικά 5.000 εθελοντές άνω των 18 ετών θα βοηθήσουν στον συντονισμό της εκδήλωσης. Θα εκπαιδευτούν σε 20 πιστοποιημένα εθελοντικά κέντρα.
