16 декабря Генеральная ассамблея ООН приняла российскую резолюцию о борьбе с героизацией нацизма и неонацизмом. Против проголосовало только два члена - США и Украина.
Документ поддержали 130 стран. Воздержались от голосования 49 государств, среди которых Германия, Франция, Польша, Нидерланды, Грузия, Молдавия, а также Великобритания.
Резолюция рекомендует принять конкретные меры для предотвращения пересмотра итогов Второй мировой войны, отрицания преступлений против человечности и военных преступлений , совершенных во время войны.
Кроме того, текст документа призывает государства устранить любые формы расовой дискриминации, осуждает образовательные материалы, которые пропагандируют расизм, дискриминационно, ненависть и насилие на основе этнического происхождения, национальности, религии и убеждений.

Российский парусный тримаран достиг берегов Бразилии
29 декабря тримаран сибиряков «Russian Ocean Way» достиг берегов Бразилии. 17 дней мореплаватели добирались от островов Кабо-Верде до бразильского порта Форталеза. Более недели они прошли со сломанной мачтой, которая могла в любой момент упасть. Причиной стал циклон в Атлантическом океане.
«Разрушилась передняя нога пирамиды, на которую крепятся мачта и передний стаксель. Мачта в любую минуту может упасть. Полопались крепления на задней балке, которые держат центральный баллон тримарана», — сообщил руководитель экспедиции Евгений Ковалевский в Береговой центр экспедиции в ночь с 20 на 21 декабря. Оценив ситуацию и сделав подпорку для сломанной мачты, мореплаватели продолжили путешествие.
При содействии Посольства России в Бразилии военно-морские силы страны предоставили 70 литров бензина, что позволило беспрепятственно пройти 100 миль в неблагоприятных погодных условиях. 29 декабря тримаран благополучно добрался до места назначения. Теперь команде предстоит реконструкция тримарана.
Кругосветная экспедиция продолжается уже шесть месяцев. Вот уже полгода сибиряки Евгений Ковалевский и Станислав Берёзкин бороздят морские просторы и рассказывают иностранцам о России и Сибири.
Наступающий Новый год команда тримарана встретит хоть и вдали от родины, но на суше. Сейчас экипажу предстоит пройти пятидневный карантин, после чего они смогут выходить в город.

Russian schoolchildren won five gold medals at the International Mendeleev Olympiad in Chemistry IMChO 2022.
The Olympiad was held in Tashkent from May 10 to May 15, bringing together more than 90 schoolchildren from 14 countries. More than half of the gold medals were won by participants from Russia. Ignatiy Tarabrin and Viktor Koshlan from Moscow, Nikita Perov from Kazan, Vladimir Mikhailenko from Saransk and Svyatoslav Mikhailenko from the Moscow Region received medals of the highest standard.
This year the International Mendeleev Olympiad was held for the 56th time and consisted of three rounds: two theoretical and experimental. In the first and second rounds, the participants had to complete difficult tasks, demonstrating the versatility of their skills. The experimental tour is a laboratory work lasting 5 hours. Even for excellent students, it is not easy to cope with the task. But the more difficult the tasks, the more valuable the victory in the International Mendeleev Olympiad.

12-year-old Belarusian Jaromir Gvozdkov became a new crew member of the Russian trimaran Russian Ocean Way expedition "On the way of Russian round-the-world navigators".
The youngest crew member will travel from San Fernando to Mar del Plata (Argentina). Jaromir has been traveling around the world with his parents since 2017, and now lives in Argentina. He speaks three languages fluently - Russian, English, Spanish. He is interested in history and music.
The head of the expedition, Evgeny Kovalevsky, and the captain of the trimaran, Stanislav Berezkin, held a meeting in the Library of La Campore with the residents of Buenos Aires, where they talked about the difficulties and interesting aspects of the expedition on a frame-inflatable sailing vessel. On December 25, 2023 a ceremony for signing the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (#EAEU) and its member states on the one hand, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the other, took place on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St Petersburg.
