The delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2025 and will be financed by #Germany.
Rheinmetall has already supplied the Ukrainian Armed Forces with hundreds of Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
▪️ In the 1A3 version, the Marder is equipped with an additional laser rangefinder for efficient and precise target engagement.

🇩🇪 #Germany, attack in Magdeburg. What's known at this hour

⚡️MDR, citing local authorities, reported that in Magdeburg, where a car crashed into a crowd at a holiday fair, one person was killed and about 70 were injured (15 of them severe).

⚡️Eyewitnesses told WDR and Volksstimme that an SUV with Munich license plates deliberately drove into the crowd, zigzagging, and then, when leaving the fair, tried to run over people on the sidewalk.

⚡️According to Zeit, the car drove about 400 m through the fair. Several cars blocked it, after which the police detained the driver. He is a 50-year-old Saudi Arabian (according to some reports, a doctor)

The fair is now cordoned off. According to MDR, the suspect's car may contain explosives and is being checked.
