As expected, in the beta version of Telegram for Android 11.1.0, channel and group administrators gained the ability to give away stars to subscribers.
Star giveaways have the same settings as the previous giveaways of Telegram Premium subscriptions. The maximum amount of winners in such a giveaway depends on the number of stars being given away.

Paid Messages And Premium For Stars
In the Beta version of Telegram for Android 11.8, users received several new features related to stars.
• Paid Messages
Any user with a Telegram Premium subscription can set a price that any of their interlocutors will have to pay for sending a message in a private chat. You can set the price in the section "Settings › Privacy and Security › Messages". In the same section, you can set up exceptions: specify users who can send messages for free. You will receive 85% of all stars paid by their interlocutors, and the remaining 15% is the platform's commission.
• Withdrawal of Stars
Users will be able to withdraw stars from their personal balance. The corresponding button is already available in the "My stars" section, but does not work yet.
• Premium For Stars
Now you can pay for a gift subscription to Telegram Premium with stars. A three-month subscription costs 1,000 stars, a six-month subscription costs 1,500, and an annual subscription costs 2,500.
In addition, the application now allows you to pin gifts to your profile. To do this, go to the "My Profile" section, go to the "Gifts" tab, press and hold the desired gift, and then select the desired item in the menu that appears.
All functions are currently available only on the test server.
