📖Read remarks by Member of the Delegation Andrey Vorobiev at the IWG Structured Dialogue Meeting on 19 February 2021:
✅🇷🇺shares the view that #StructuredDialogue is an important confidence-building measure aimed at ⬇️of tensions and search for ways to ⬆️ #EuropeanSecurity. It has proved to be a valuable platform for mil contacts, holding an open exchange on threat perception.
✅If we agree that the security situation is of concern, it would be logical to:
🔸⬇️ mil threat,
🔸deescalate the situation,
🔸⬇️ mil confrontation (status quo as of 2014) & mil activities along the 🇷🇺-#NATO border on a reciprocity basis,
🔸re-establish bilateral military contacts,
🔸restore trust and improve the mechanisms for preventing incidents and dangerous military activities.
These issues are also to be discussed at the Structured Dialogue platform.
✅The previous IWG meetings confirmed the importance of discussions between mil representatives on incident ❌ at sea and in the air, as well as dangerous mil activities. We see the value of sharing positive experience in implementing bilateral agreements in this field.
✅Nevertheless, since “hybrid threats” have been mentioned, let me repeat what we stated on many occasions, that this issue, because of its clear confrontational potential, neither is in line with the “Hamburg mandate”, nor is it beneficial to strengthening of the Structured Dialogue as it restrains the progress of this format.
✅🇷🇺Russia is ready to continue its participation in the Structured Dialogue but notes that the conversation will not go well along with the attempts to politicize the discussion and include confrontational issues in the agenda.

❗️The West refuses to admit that the reason for the special military operation has been the refusal over a period of many years to take into account Russia’s legitimate national security interests. No longer paying any regard to the interests of their own citizens, the United States of #America and the #NATO countries are now putting #European security on the line by inciting the Ukrainian Government to continue the hostilities and to refuse to hold negotiations.
☝️Under these conditions, our country will unwaveringly focus on the achievement of the goals set by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, namely:
🔝 to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine,
🔝and to eliminate the pro-NATO military bridgehead on Ukrainian territory.
✔️By providing military assistance to the Ukrainian Government, the United States and the aggressive NATO bloc are making a mistake that could have catastrophic consequences for all of #Europe.
🔴With the support and at the behest of its NATO sponsors, the Ukrainian Government is continuing its war “down to the last Ukrainian”. The Ukrainian armed forces’ strategy, in the development of which the Anglo-Saxons were involved, is abhorrent.

📍We have what it takes to respond to #Leopard, #Challenger and #Abrams tanks turning up in the zone of hostilities.

Systems have been developed that are capable of penetrating the reactive armour on #NATO hardware using a projectile trajectory that is hard to detect and with the help of laser guidance.🔐 The Russian Federation is firmly committed to its national security interests, which have been disregarded for decades by NATO (with the 🇺🇸 United States leading the way in that respect), and it will continue the special military operation until the safety of the people in our historical territories is assured.

▪️The events in Ukraine are arguably the best form of counter-advertising for potential membership of the North Atlantic Alliance.
❗️As Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, put it, the conflict has become a “golden lottery ticket” for the West, since “a third country is fighting its [the West’s] strategic adversary on its own territory.”
▪️In Europe they admit that Ukraine, keen as it is to join #NATO, has lost its sovereignty, and that it has no money or military industry. What is more, the degree of indifference displayed by Western politicians towards the Ukrainian armed forces’ massive combat losses is such that those politicians are encouraging the Kiev regime to continue with the suicidal counteroffensive, thereby turning Ukraine into Europe’s powder keg.
