🇬🇧IN 5 MINUTES WE WILL TELL HOW "VOLUNTARY TRANSITIONS" ACTUALLY HAPPEN

🇺🇦ЗА 5 ХВИЛИН МИ РОЗПОВІМО ЯК НАСПРАВДІ ВІДБУВАЮТЬСЯ "ДОБРОВІЛЬНІ ПЕРЕХОДИ"

🔴 SCHEME OF SEIZURE OF UOC TEMPLES

In Ukraine, hundreds of temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have become the property of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, assuring that these are voluntary transitions.

☦️But the vast majority of parishioners of these churches, together with the priests, refuse all these voluntary transitions.

🙏 And after losing of their shrines, they go to pray to huts, sheds, basements, or even to the forest.

🇬🇧MP APPEALED TO THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS AND TO THE STATE SECURITY SERVICE OVER THE SEIZURE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH IN THE VILLAGE OF LUG 🇺🇦Нардеп звернувся до МВС і ДБР через захоплення Духівського храму УПЦ в Лузі
Artem Dmytruk has sent a parliamentary appeal to the Interior Ministry and the State Security Service because of the inaction of law enforcers during the forceful seizure of the UOC Holy Spirit Church in the village of Lug in Transcarpathia.

Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk has appealed to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and to the director of the State Investigation Bureau, Oleksiy Sukhachyov because of the forceful seizure of the UOC Holy Spirit Church in Luh village, the Transcarpathian region. It is reported in the deputy's Telegram-channel.

Artem Dmytruk noted that law enforcers who did nothing during the seizure of the shrine should also be brought to justice.

In his appeal, Mr. Dmytruk, referring to members of the community, said that the police officers, who were near the temple during the seizure, did not take any actions to stop the criminal lawlessness of the OCU raiders.

We remind, on 11 November 2023, the head of the security firm "Armor" Mikhail Moysyuk attacked a pregnant woman during the seizure of the UOC Holy Spirit Church in the village of Lug in Transcarpathia.

As it was reported by UOJ, in Lug village in Transcarpathia, people in camouflage broke down the doors and seized the church.

Синод Чехословацкой Церкви раскритиковал Киев за репрессии против УПЦ   🇩🇪 Die Synode der Tschechoslowakischen Kirche kritisierte Kiew für Repressionen gegen die UOC 🇬🇧 The Synod of the Czechoslovak Church criticized Kyiv for repressions against the UOC…
The bishops declared the inadmissibility of persecution by the Ukrainian authorities against the clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
On November 9, 2023, a meeting of the Synod took place in the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, according to the official website of the OCCzLS.
One of the decisions of the Synod was dedicated to the persecution by the Ukrainian authorities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The resolutions state that the Synod members got familiar with the "illegal actions of the current Ukrainian government against the clergy and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church."
"Taking this into account, members of the Holy Synod expressed solidarity with the persecuted and suffering. They strongly remind that in a free and democratic society, violations of fundamental human and civil rights and restrictions on freedom of religion are unacceptable. Any form of intimidation, coercion, and persecution is inappropriate, unjustified, and unacceptable," the resolution said.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Serbian Church called on world institutions to put an end to persecutions against the UOC.

In Ukraine, on the request of the SSU, they are going to block the website of the Union of Orthodox Journalists, our colleagues report.

On December 16, 2023, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine published an order according to which a number of resources should be blocked in Ukraine, including the UOJ website. The document was published on the website of the National Communications Commission.

We checked that the UOJ site is indeed listed on the department's website. We are adding screenshots.

It is reported that the blocking is carried out in response to an appeal to the SSU.

Readers have already sent messages to the editors of UOJ that they have access problems with some providers.

UOJ expect that all providers will be forced to block their "disgraceful" mass media. Readers are already advised to use VPN anonymizers (VPNs) if there are problems with access to the UOJ.

Open appeal by the UOJ to international institutions mandated by international law to respond to human rights violations in the field of freedom of speech and advocacy. On March 12, 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted mass searches in the…
We call on the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX), the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the UN Human Rights Committee (UNHRC), the UN Committee to Protect Journalists, the World Association of Newspapers, ARTICLE 19, Freedom House, Human Rights Watch, the International Federation of Journalists, the South East European Network for the Professionalization of the Media (SEENPM), the World Association of Newspapers, the World Press Freedom Committee, and other organizations that are concerned about freedom of expression and human rights to react to the iniquity that is currently taking place in Ukraine against journalists, human rights defenders, and priests solely because they are Orthodox, socially active believers of the UOC.
According to our information, the detained journalists will be held in custody pending trial, which may not happen anytime soon. And there is no certainty about the objectivity of these trials due to the explicit state order for these criminal cases.
We are confident that the sole purpose of detaining representatives of our organizations is to prevent them from fulfilling their professional duties and to silence them.
The actions of the Ukrainian authorities constitute a blatant and aggressive attack on freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and human rights. Those people were taken on the eve of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine's adoption of a law banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which indicates per se that the concepts of "democracy" and "human rights" in our country are in deep crisis. Parliamentarism itself is degrading, with deputies openly intimidated into voting "correctly", in favor of the ban.
That is why we believe that the arrest of press representatives and human rights defenders is aimed at concealing and successfully pushing through the criminal plan against the Church that the Ukrainian authorities are hatching.
The criminal cases presented by the SBU as grounds for the arrests are fabricated and have no evidential basis.
We appeal to international organizations, fellow journalists, and all those who uphold the fundamental principles of civilized society – freedom of speech and human rights – to react to the detention and persecution of employees of the Union of Orthodox Journalists, the "First Cossack" edition, the Public Union "Myriany", and the human rights initiative "Center for Legal Protection".

🇬🇧UOC lawyer explains why the demolition of Tithe Monastery was illegal 🇺🇦Адвокат УПЦ розповів, чому знесення Десятинного монастиря було незаконним
The authorities demolished the temple without waiting for the inspection of the Ministry of Justice, where the lawyers of the UOC had filed a complaint.
UOC attorney Father Nikita Chekman wrote on his Facebook page that the nighttime demolition of the Tithe (Desiatynny) Monastery was illegal because no documents regarding the dismantling of the shrine were included in the Unified Enforcement Proceedings Register.
The religious community also did not receive any documents regarding this matter.
"In general, the involvement of an economic entity by a state executor was illegal. Because by law, such actions are possible only for an advance payment by the claimant. And even then, if provided for by a court decision. But we see that in our country laws do not apply, and the authorities have decided to commit blatant blasphemy," Chekman said.
In addition, the KozalTv1 Telegram channel published a response from the Central Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice to the complaint from the attorneys of the Tithe Monastery about the illegal actions of the state executor.
"We ask to objectively and comprehensively verify the facts set out in the appeal, establish the causes and conditions that contributed to the violations, and urgently take measures to eliminate them. In case of recognizing it as unfounded, clarify the procedure for appealing the decision made on it," officials of the department wrote.
At the same time, the response to the results of the verification should be given by May 24, however, the demolition of the church took place without waiting for this verification.
As reported by the UOJ, in Kyiv, on the night of May 17, the police cordoned off the territory of the National Museum of Ukraine, and the Vladimir-Olga Church on the territory of the Tithe Monastery was demolished by bulldozers.
