The library is one of the oldest Arab #libraries and one of the most important schools in history. Some described it as a spiritual reflection of man in #Syria.

Az-#Zahiriyah Library is located opposite the Great Adiliyya School, and both are located in the alley that links the #Citadel of #Damascus to its #Umayyad Mosque, Bab al-#Barid area in al-#Amarah neighborhood in #Damascus Old City.

The #Library is famous for its architectural design and it has two book stores and three reading rooms, one of which is dedicated to authors and is located in the Great #Adiliyya School.
