🇷🇺🇾🇪 On November 1, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Both sides praised the traditionally friendly nature of Russian-Yemeni ties and reaffirmed their willingness to continue providing all-out support for the efforts to achieve a comprehensive political and diplomatic settlement of the Yemeni crisis.
The Ministers also reiterated their readiness to restore multifaceted mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation as the situation in Yemen normalises.

🇷🇺🇾🇪 On September 26, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi had a meeting on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly.
During the conversation, the two Officials discussed several topical bilateral matters related to the traditionally friendly ties between our countries, and went on to reaffirm their commitment to maintaining regular political dialogue, as well as coordinating their positions within the United Nations and other international platforms.
During the meeting, the two Parties also focused on reviewing military, political and humanitarian developments in and around Yemen, including in the Red Sea zone.
☝️ Sergey Lavrov reiterated Moscow’s principled position that there is no alternative to settling the crisis in Yemen through diplomatic means by creating a favourable environment for launching of a full-scale intra-Yemeni national dialogue under the UN’s auspices as quickly as possible.
