The 2nd International Tiger Forum took place on 5 September – the opening day of the Eastern Economic Forum. The plenary session on the topic “The Status of the Global Tiger Recovery Programme Implementation from 2010 to 2022” became its key event.
Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a video-address to the Forum’s participants. He said: “The total number of these exceptionally beautiful predators has grown by 40 percent globally since 2010. We in Russia also have something to be proud of. Twelve years ago, there were no more than 390 adult Amur tigers in our Far Eastern taiga. Now there are about 750 of them, including cubs. This is the result of systematic measures implemented at the state level, but above all, a tangible result of the coordinated, hard work of Russian scientists, enthusiasts, and environmental organisations.”
The Forum was attended by the responsible ministers from the tiger-range countries. The Kingdom of Cambodia was represented by H.E. Dr. Chea Sam Ang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
During the professional dialogue, experts, environmentalists and scientists discussed the results of the implementation of the 12-year Global Tiger Recovery Programme, outlined the guidelines, considered the mechanisms of regular information exchange and effective international coordination of efforts.

Today Russia celebrates the Day of Military Glory, dedicated to the Battle of Borodino between the Russian Army led by Mikhail Kutuzov and the French Army in 1812.
During the combat, the Russian troops demonstrated their resilience and valor. Despite its retreat, after the Battle of Borodino the Russian Army bolstered its morale, quickly reinforced and was ready to expel the enemy from Russian territory. On the contrary, Napoleon’s Grand Armee fell in spirit, lost its abilities to maneuver and defeat.

🔹 Доклад подготовлен в продолжение работы по привлечению внимания к проявлениям в зарубежных странах различных форм героизации нацистского движения, неонацизма, расизма, расовой дискриминации, ксенофобии и связанной с ними нетерпимости.
🔹 Отмечаем, что в текущем году положение дел в этой области резко деградировало. В ряде государств усилились кампании по искажению истории, фальсификации роли СССР в обеспечении Победы над нацизмом.
🔹 Нынешний этап отличается высоким уровнем исторического ревизионизма и реваншизма, полной подменой понятий, когда цинично, в угоду политической конъюнктуре, меняют местами развязавших войну агрессоров, авторов идеологий расовой чистоты с противостоявшим им государством.

📆 On September 10, 1721, following a diplomatic congress in Nystad, Russia and Sweden entered into the Eternal Peace Treaty, which ended the Great Northern War of 1700-1721 and consolidated Russia’s victory.
ℹ️ The document became a grandiose achievement of Peter the Great’s reign, a result of a combination of successful military campaigns and exceptional heroism of Russian forces and Russia’s foreign policy manoeuvres in the 18th century. One of the most important outcomes of the war for Russia was getting access to the east coast of the Baltic Sea, a strategically important region of Europe both geopolitically and economically.
☝️ Peter I was accorded the titles of Emperor of All Russia, Great Father of the Fatherland and "the Great” following the signing of the Treaty of Nystad in the Trinity Cathedral in St Petersburg on November 2 (October 22), 1721. The Russian state was called the Russian Empire from then on.
❗️The Treaty of Nystad became a major victory of Russian diplomacy.

9 Tiger range countries took part in the joint issue of postage stamps for the II International Tiger Forum
The joint issue of postage stamps is a significant philatelic event. It was initiated by the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Justice of Russia, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and JSC "Marka" participated in the preparation of the event.
The stamp dedicated to the II International Tiger Forum was released by Cambodia, China, India, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Russia and Vietnam.
