В ходе мероприятия был изложен ход специальной военной операции Вооружённых Сил Российской Федерации в Донбассе и на Украине, затронута проблематика функционирования на территории упомянутой республики биологических лабораторий с американским участием, расширения НАТО в Европе, а также текущее взаимодействие в рамках диалогового партнёрства Россия-АСЕАН.
Были даны ответы на интересующие местную прессу вопросы.

On 25 May 2022 the Embassy of Russia to Cambodia organized via videoconference a briefing for the representatives of the ministries and institutions, analytical centers and media of the Kingdom on the situation around Ukraine.
During the event, the guests of the meeting were informed about the course of the special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Donbass and Ukraine. The briefing touched upon the issues of the functioning of biolaboratories on the territory of the aforementioned republic with the American participation, NATO expansion in Europe, as well as the current interactions within Russia-ASEAN dialogue partnership.
The members of the local press received answers to the questions.
В ходе мероприятия был изложен ход специальной военной операции Вооружённых Сил Российской Федерации в Донбассе и на Украине, затронута проблематика функционирования на территории упомянутой республики биологических лабораторий с американским участием, расширения НАТО в Европе, а также текущее взаимодействие в рамках диалогового партнёрства Россия-АСЕАН.

🔹 Since 2009, we have repeatedly proposed concluding a special treaty that would guarantee the security of all countries, including Ukraine, without the expansion of NATO or other military-political alliances.
🔹 We have quit the Council of Europe of our own accord. From an organisation concerned with unity of the European legal space, the CE has degenerated into a tool of US interests (even though the United States is just an observer and not a member of the Council of Europe).

📃The international exhibition movement has become the latest victim of the massive anti-Russia campaign pursued by the collective West to push our country out of all areas of cooperation. It is needless to speak about fair competition for the right to hold world universal exhibitions under such conditions.
🔹Apparently, Moscow’s bid to host EXPO 2030 cannot expect a fair and impartial evaluation against four other candidates even if it had indisputable advantages.
🔹In response, the Russian Federation took the principled decision to voluntarily withdraw Moscow’s bid for the right to host EXPO2030. Notice was sent as required to the Bureau International des Expositions on May 23, 2022.
🔹️We hope that the necessary conditions will emerge in the future for Russia to compete on equal terms for the right to host a World Expo.

💬 The West has declared a total war on us and the entire Russian world. Under the current circumstances, we need a detailed analysis of the Foreign Ministry’s effort to promote cooperation with civil society, including at the level of regions.
Priority areas:
1. Mobilising Russian NGOs’ capabilities to promote recovery and to provide humanitarian aid to residents of the DPR and the LPR, as well as the liberated Ukrainian territories.
2. Engaging public diplomacy channels for outreach activities with constructive international partners.
3. Using NGO resources to minimise the consequences of unilateral sanctions.
☝️ Working with our compatriots residing abroad is particularly important. They are at the forefront of dealing with the phenomenon known as Neanderthal Russophobia.

💬In the current international conditions when, unfortunately, traditional trade and economic links and supply chains are being disrupted, Russia’s initiative to form a Greater Eurasian Partnership– an initiative we have been discussing for many years – is gaining a special meaning.
🔹We are thankful to the leaders of the EAEU countries for supporting this proposal from the very beginning. BRICS members such as China & India as well as several other countries also supported creating a Greater Eurasian Partnership. The SCO, ASEAN and other organisations have shown interest in this initiative.

1 июня с.г. в Посольстве России в Камбодже состоялся праздничный флешмоб «Рисунки на асфальте» по случаю Международного дня защиты детей.
В акции приняли участие учителя и ученики школы при РЗУ, члены семей сотрудников российской дипмиссии.
Международный день защиты детей отмечается ежегодно более чем в 30 странах мира. Решение о его проведении было принято в 1925 году на Всемирной конференции в Женеве, посвященной вопросам благополучия детей.

On 1 June 2022 the Russian Embassy in Cambodia held the flash mob “Pictures on the pavement” on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.
Teachers and children of the Embassy School, family members of the officials of the Russian diplomatic mission took part in the event.
The International Children’s Day is celebrated annually in more than 30 countries around the world. The decision on marking this day was taken in 1925 by the World Conference for the Well-Being of Children in Geneva.
