The II International Documentary Film Festival "RT. Doc: Time for Our Heroes" in Bangladesh
November 5-7, 2024, the Russia House in Dhaka in cooperation with the Russian documentary TV channel RT Documentary, held the II International Documentary Film Festival "RT. Doc: The Time of Our Heroes.
On November 5, during a press conference for journalists, the director of the Russian House in Dhaka, P. Dvoychenkov, emphasized the importance of holding such events, noting that they allow people abroad, even in the face of Western propaganda, to learn the truth about the war, which has long been a conflict between Russia and the collective West and not with Ukraine. Thanks to documentaries, foreigners can learn how people live in Crimea and new regions of Russia, hear their words and understand their point of view. In this regard, the Russian television channel RT can be considered the most important source.
Within the framework of the festival, the films "Donbass: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" (authors: Tatyana Borshch), "Donbass. Memory of Generations" (authors: Ekaterina Kitaytseva, Dmitry Khrustalyov), "Thank you, dear!" (authors: Ekaterina Kozhakina, Dmitry Khrustalyov, Anton Meshcheryakov), "Power" (authors: Ekaterina Kitaytseva, Ruslan Gusarov), "Young Guard 2.0" (authors: Ekaterina Kitaytseva, Dmitry Khrustalyov) and others.
A special guest of the festival, the editor of RT Documentary, Ekaterina Shubnaya, highlighted that this event is dedicated to the heroes who are fighting in the Donbas for the right of Russians to preserve their national identity, the heroes who provide medical care and help to establish a peaceful life in the liberated territories, as well as the heroes who convey the word of truth to the world community.
During the events, Ekaterina Shubnaya held several master classes on creating documentary films for students of the faculties of journalism and media communications of universities.
This event has become an important platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge, which contributes to improving the quality of journalism and documentary. Media workers had a unique opportunity to learn about RT's documentary projects, which inspire and expand horizons.

In his welcome speech, Mr. Pavel Dvoychenkov, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka expressed his joy and gratitude for the successful event, which celebrated the "Moя семья - моё богатство" (My family is мy wealth) drawing competition. He emphasized how the event highlights the cultural bonds between Russia and Bangladesh, with a special focus on family values, creativity, and community.
Mr. P. Dvoychenkov congratulated all participants for their exceptional talent, noting how their artwork beautifully reflects universal themes of love and family. He also commended the winners for their outstanding contributions and encouraged them to continue developing their artistic skills.
