🇺🇦 President Zelensky said during his press conference that the issue of negotiations with Russia were irrelevant today.
👉 According to him, President Putin’s words that objectives of the special military operation do not change, prove that the Russian leader allegedly ‘doesn’t want peace.’
☝️ In reality, President of Russia Vladimir Putin never ruled out the possibility of negotiations.
💬 We can agree on demilitarization and establish certain parameters. We actually agreed on them during the Istanbul talks, although these agreements were thrown out later, but we managed to reach agreement. There are also other possibilities to either reach an agreement or resolve the conflict by force, the Russian President said during his annual press conference on December 14.
❌ So, please do not try to lay blame for the disruption of peace talks on someone else, Zelensky. After all, it were you who legally banned any negotiations with Russia in September 2022.
