Analysts say that although Azov has undeniable far-right roots, these have been diluted by the influx of thousands of new recruits who were attracted by its reputation as a tough, professional fighting force rather than any political ideology."

The Russian Prosecutor General’s office has requested that the 🇨🇦 authorities extradite 98-year-old SS veteran Yaroslav Hunka who is charged in absentia in Russia with genocide.
❗️The prosecutors have established that Hunka, native born Ukrainian, along with 1,200 other individuals, volunteered to ‘Galicia’ SS infantry division. Between 23 and 28 Feb 1944, its members murdered no less than 500 Soviet nationals, including Jews and Poles, in the village Huta Pieniacka in Western Ukraine. Civilians were shot and burnt alive in their houses.
☝️The PG’s request is based on the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide of 1948, involving 152 state parties including Russia and Canada. PG's office emphasizes that such crimes have no statute of limitations.
❌ In Sept 2023, Hunka was invited to the special session of Canada’s parliament attended by President Zelensky of Ukraine, where he received 2 standing ovations for having ‘fought Russians’ during WWII.

⚠️ Scandal in Italy as a video of a fascist rally which took place in Rome yesterday emerged on social media.
In the video, lines of men can be seen making Nazi salutes and shouting "present" three times as one of their number yelled "For all fallen comrades!" - a typical rallying cry at neo-fascist events.
👉 According to Reuters, the event marked the 46th anniversary of the killing of three neo-fascists in Via Acca Larentia, in southeast Rome. Two of them were gunned down by suspected far-left militants while the third was killed by police after a riot broke out shortly after the shooting.
💡Media report that such rallies in Rome are held annually, hence with the permission of authorities. Yet this time something went wrong.

▪️ During 23-24 September, over 10.000 Jews were sorted and put on the train by German soldiers with the help of Lithuanian auxiliaries.
▪️ The majority of the Jews were sent to the Vaivara concentration camp in Estonia, killed in the forest of Paneriai, or sent to the death camps in German-occupied Poland.
☝️ Throughout the period of German occupation, local collaborators participated actively in punitive actions against Jewish population. Nevertheless, present-day Lithuanian policy is aimed at rehabilitation of WW2 criminals and minimizing their role in the genocide of the Jewish nation.
❗️ Lithuanian authorities resist to recognize the scope to which Lithuanians collaborated with the Nazis, whereas Nazi collaborators and war criminals are further glorified for their anti-Soviet resistance.

As has been repeatedly noted, neo-#Nazism has been practiced in #Ukraine at an accelerated pace for a long time, practically since "independence". And starting from 2014, when nationalists seized power in Kiev as a result of an unconstitutional armed coup d'état orchestrated by the West, violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms in Ukraine, and especially the glorification of Nazism, have become widespread and systemic.
☝️ With the active encouragement of Western handlers, authorities make efforts to shape a society based on Nazi ideas. To that end, Kiev has been consistently conducting aggressive neo‑Nazi propaganda, accompanied by rewriting the history of the Great Patriotic and Second World War. Glorification of Nazism, its promotion into all spheres of public life, systemic suppression of human rights, opposition and dissent, as well as the fight against everything connected with Russia, have become a targeted government policy in Ukraine.
Along with this, the country is consistently pursuing a course towards forced Ukrainization of all spheres of public life and accelerated assimilation of national minorities.
