🇷🇺🇺🇿📞 President of Russia Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Presidents discussed certain pressing issues on the bilateral agenda, including in the trade and economic sphere.

They reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the Russian-Uzbekistani strategic partnership and alliance.

The Russian side expressed support for the efforts of Uzbekistan’s leadership to stabilise the situation in Karakalpakstan.

🇷🇺🇺🇿 On July 28, 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was received by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as part of his working visit to Uzbekistan to take part in the SCO Foreign Ministers Council meeting.

The parties exchanged views on current issues on the international agenda and regional security ahead of the SCO Heads of State Council meeting.

They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and maintaining the momentum of the Russia-Uzbekistan strategic partnership and alliance.

In this connection, they noted the successful 2023 INNOPROM Central Asia International Industrial Trade Fair, held on April 24–26 in Tashkent with Russia’s active involvement.

🇷🇺🇺🇿 Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Tashkent on a two-day visit at the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It is expected to discuss the current state and prospects for further development of Russia-Uzbekistan relations of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as exchange views on topical regional issues.

Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the first meeting of the Council of Regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Following the visit, a solid package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed.

🇷🇺🇺🇿📞 On October 26, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.

The Ministers reaffirmed mutual intention to continue energetic joint efforts on implementing the decisions made by the two states’ Leaders to strengthen #RussiaUzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

🗓 Due to changes in working schedules, it was agreed to postpone Sergey Lavrov's visit to Tashkent, originally planned for October 28−29, to a later date.
