It is important that we note the creative, positive and fruitful efforts by the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations to preserve our rich historical, cultural and spiritual traditions, as well as to promote family values and educate the younger generation. Of course, Christian organisations deserve special credit for their community service and charity undertakings, and their commitment to helping those in need of care and support in these challenging times.

🇷🇺🇫🇮📞 Russia's President Vladimir #Putin had a telephone conversation with Finland President Sauli #Niinistö at the Finnish side’s initiative.
Heads of the two counties had a sincere exchange of views over the announced decision by Finland’s leadership to apply for #NATO membership.
❗️ Vladimir Putin stressed that rejecting the traditional policy of military neutrality would be wrong since there are no threats to Finland’s security.
Such a change in the country’s foreign policy course could have a negative effect on Russia-Finland relations, which have been built over the course of many years in the spirit of neighbourliness and partnership cooperation.
The Presidents also discussed the situation in #Ukraine. In particular, Vladimir Putin shared his opinion of the state of the negotiating process between Russian and Ukrainian representatives. This process has been practically put on hold by #Kiev, which does not show any interest in a serious and constructive dialogue.

🎙 Following international consultations, the Presidents of the two countries adopted a Joint Statement.
💬 Vladimir #Putin: We have large projects we are working on. Everybody knows about the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. This is energy, which is very important, but there are other areas as well.
In this regard, I would like to note that TurkStream, the construction of which we completed some time ago, is today one of the most important routes for supplying Europe with Russian gas.
TurkStream, unlike all other directions of our hydrocarbon supplies to Europe, is operating well, smoothly, and without failure. I do not mean only deliveries to consumers in Turkiye, but, let me repeat, also to consumers in Europe.
☝️ I believe that our European partners should be grateful to Turkiye for ensuring the continuous transit of gas to their markets.

🛡 Constitutional norms received direct action status for the first time in the history of the country. This means that any person can defend his or her rights by citing constitutional norms, and judicial and other state agencies should, first of all, be guided by the norms of the fundamental law, while reviewing cases and addressing contentious issues.

Following their December 9 conversation at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Bishkek, Vladimir Putin and Nikol Pashinyan continued discussing issues of implementing the fundamental agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
They focused on efforts to ensure security on the Armenian–Azerbaijani border and projects to reinstate transport and logistics links and trade and economic ties in the South Caucasus.
Following their December 9 conversation at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Bishkek, Vladimir Putin and Nikol Pashinyan continued discussing issues of implementing the fundamental agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
