🎙 Read excerpts from statement of Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE Alexander Volgarev «On the reports of the three personal representatives Chairman-in-Office on tolerance and non- discrimination»(meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, 22 September 2022)
💬 We are deeply disappointed by the activities of the three Personal Representatives of the CiO on combating intolerance and discrimination. Their one-sided interpretations of events in #Ukraine do not stand up to criticism and go beyond their mandates
💬 Until recently they were not particularly interested in the situation in #Ukraine. Although year after year we have called in vain for attention to the rise of neo-Nazism promoted by the Kiev regime and the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
💬 The credibility of the content of several joint press releases by the three Personal representatives raises many questions and may be perceived as deliberately spreading misinformation
💬 Anti-Semitism is a growing problem in the #OSCE area. It is often accompanied by neo-Nazism, the glorification of Nazism, indulged by authorities of a number of countries, such as the #Baltic States and #Poland
💬 #OSCE participating States are not free from anti-Islamic manifestations either. This phenomenon is on the rise in, for example, the USA, France and Denmark. Anti-immigrant sentiments in the EU are regularly recorded reports by the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights
💬 We call on the three Personal Representatives for tolerance and non-discrimination to comply with the concepts endorsed by all #OSCE pS and not to promote confrontational ideas and approaches of Western alliance countries
