🤝 On September 11, a tripartite meeting of representatives of the Special Secretariat of Federal Revenue of Brazil 🇧🇷, the Federal Customs Service of Russia 🇷🇺 and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs of the Ministry of Finance of India 🇮🇳 took place at the territory of the customs post ‘Gavan’ of the Baltic Customs.

🟣The guests were familiarised with the infrastructure of the port, the latest technological solutions in the field of port logistics, the procedure of customs clearance of cargoes, in particular those supplied as part of the Russian-Indian trade relations.

🐕 The participants of the meeting were also presented with a Russian-made mobile inspection and examination complex, modern inspection zones and the work of the canine unit of Baltic Customs.

🇷🇺 🤝 🇮🇳 On September 18-19, Mumbai hosted the Russian-Indian business seminar which brought together the leading business representatives of Russia and the state of Maharashtra.

👥 Consul General of Russia in Mumbai Ivan Fetisov, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Igor Ten, Head of the Mumbai office of the Trade Representation of Russia in India Mamed Akhmedov and Head of the Representative Office of the Russian Export Center in India Timur Vekilov shared their experience and expertise in the matter of building the bilateral trade and economic partnership.

💬 Among the speakers from the Indian side were representatives of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), the Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB), as well as large trade, financial, consulting and logistics organisations.

🗣 During the event, Kamal Puggal, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Administrative General, Mumbai Airport Customs, and Representative of the Russian Federal Customs Service in India Igor Ten made a joint report on additional simplified customs mechanisms for Russian-Indian trade, provided for by the new bilateral agreement on mutual recognition of the status of Authorized Economic Operators.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 Following the visit of Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs of India Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, on September 28, the seaport of St Petersburg was visited by Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary (Revenue), Minister of Finance of India.

💬 Representatives of the North-West Customs Administration and the container terminal "Gavan" briefed the Indian guests about the current situation with the supply of goods between St Petersburg and Mumbai, the peculiarities of customs clearance and port logistics, demonstrated the work of modern inspection equipment of customs authorities and technological schemes of interdepartmental coordination to accelerate the flow of goods.

🤝 The parties noted the need to expand cooperation between both customs and port authorities of the two countries in view of the growing bilateral trade and economic interaction.
