📆 On October 28, the Russian Embassy in India hosted a press briefing on the outcomes of the 16th #BRICS Summit in Kazan on October 22-24.

👥 The event with the participation of Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov was attended by about 50 journalists of the leading Russian and Indian news agencies, TV channels and newspapers, as well as diplomats of the BRICS countries accredited in New Delhi — Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa.

💬 During the briefing, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission elaborated on the key results of the multilateral meeting in Kazan with an emphasis on the implementation of the top priorities of the Russian BRICS Chairmanship in 2024, underscored the growing interest of the Global South in joining the association's work, including in the format of partner countries, and answered media questions on various issues on the international and regional agenda.

📰 At the end of the event, the floor was given to Ethiopian Ambassador to India Fisseha Shawl, who praised the summit outcomes and warmly congratulated the Russian side on its successful holding.

📆 On October 25-26, Trivandrum hosted the festival "The Word about Russian Heart" organized by the Center for Creative Industries "New City" jointly with the federal agency "Rossotrudnichestvo" and the Russian House in Trivandrum.

💬 The programme included an exhibition of Russian tourism brands, practical master classes, B2B meetings, panel discussions and a concert.

👥 The event was attended by representatives of the local business community and government agencies, public organizations and expert circles, cultural figures and media.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On October 5-12, a 7-day intensive educational course on literary translation from Russian into Hindi, the "School of Young Translators in India", was held. The organizers were the Association of Translators-Interpreters of Indian Rusists, Institute of Literary Translation, Dom Tvorchestva (House of Creativity) “Peredelkino”, Sahitya Akademi and the Russian Embassy in India.

👥 As part of the programme, a translation competition was held, in which 26 students took part. 7 winners were invited to join the 8-day camp of the School, where they will improve their skills under the guidance of experienced translators such as Ekaterina Pokholkova, Pankaj Malviya, Ranjana Saxena, Ranjana Banerjee, Kiran Singh Verma, Pragati Tipnis, Anil Janvijay, Sonu Saini and others.

📚 The text of Anna Shipilova's story translated during the competition will be sent to Russia for review. All winners of the project will go to the Peredelkino House of Creativity to participate in a translation conference in December 2024.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On November 6, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the inauguration ceremony of the forum "Under One Sun: Russia-India, Business and Culture", which included the opening of the Centre of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) in New Delhi.

📰 In his welcoming speech, Denis Alipov underscored that the new centre would contribute to the deepening of humanitarian ties, expansion of scientific and cultural exchanges. He also pointed out that this project would play an important role in increasing mutual awareness in both countries.

👥 Among the speakers were Indian politician and philosopher Dr Karan Singh, Member of Rajya Sabha Bhubaneswar Kalita, First Deputy Executive Director of the RGS Ilya Gurov and others. The event was also attended by senior officials of Indian government agencies, representatives of political, expert, scientific and cultural circles.

🇷🇺 🤝 🇮🇳 On November 8, the Russian House in New Delhi hosted the conference "India-Russia: International Seminar for Young Researchers".

📰 Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, and Yulia Aryaeva, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India, addressed the audience with welcoming remarks.

👥 The event was attended by President of the Indian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (INDAPRYAL) Charanjit Singh, Professor of Russian Studies Abhai Maurya. President of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL) Vladimir Tolstoy joined the conference online.

💬 During the discussions, the participants noted that there is a great need for teachers from Russia, Russian textbooks for educational institutions in different parts of India. A presentation of Abhai Maurya's new book "Literature — a Mirror Reflection of Life?" took place.

The International Programme "Mission Kindness" has started in India

As part of the International Programme, volunteer veterinarians visited several Indian shelters for homeless animals on the first day: "Рaws pet boarding", "Nandi Seva trust", SPCA Noida, to collect anamnesis of life and illness of patients and to determine a plan for the coming days.

👥 Veterinarians from Russia will also conduct trainings for Indian specialists on modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of animals for two weeks.

🟣The programme is being implemented by Rossotrudnichestvo jointly with the Association of Volunteer Centers and the "Traces of Man" Foundation.

🌐 On November 14-15, the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow hosted the International Research Conference "The Future of Diplomacy and Diplomatic Services" as part of the Russian 2024 #BRICS Chairmanship.

👥 The event was attended by rectors of diplomatic service institutes of the association and partner countries, heads of authoritative think tanks. During the sessions, they discussed various aspects of diplomacy and exchanged experiences in training and skills development of foreign service officers amid the challenges posed by the formation of a multipolar world.

🇮🇳 The Indian delegation at the meeting was led by Amb. Raj Kumar Srivastava, Dean of the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

🤝 On the sidelines of the conference, the Russian and Indian representatives held bilateral talks on issues of mutual interest.
