๐Ÿ“† November 9 is the International Day against Fascism, Racism and Antisemitism in many countries around the world.

#OTD in 1938 in Germany, the Nazis carried out a pogrom Kristallnacht, or the "Night of Broken Glass" โ€“ the first mass act of physical violence against the Jewish people. According to various estimates, more than 30 thousand Jews were sent to concentration camps and about 200 synagogues were destroyed. Only the Great Victory of Soviet soldiers over Nazi Germany was able to stop the series of fascist crimes.

โ—๏ธ However, already at the beginning of the 21st century, the international community again faced manifestations of racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, religious intolerance, the growth of neo-Nazi and radical nationalist sentiments. In a number of Western countries, as well as in Ukraine and the Baltics, it has become the norm to falsify history and justify the atrocities of the Nazis.

๐Ÿ“ Since 2005, Russia has annually submitted a draft resolution to the UN General Assembly on combating the glorification of Nazism. On May 5, 2014, the President of the Russian Federation signed a law introducing punishment for the rehabilitation of Nazism.
