📆 On October 9, Moscow hosted the inaugural meeting of the #BRICS informal dialogue platform for cooperation in the diamond sector.

🔘The event, held in a hybrid format, brought together representatives of the industry and regulatory bodies of the member countries, as well as leading international organizations.

💎 The meeting participants identified four key areas of work — developing supply chains, supporting generic marketing in the BRICS countries, establishing common standards for responsible mining and trade, and sharing best practices. The possibility of creating unified rules for trading in precious metals was discussed separately.

🤝 The meeting resulted in an action plan for 2025 and a draft statement prepared for inclusion in the declaration of the upcoming 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan. The initiative is designed to strengthen business ties between the countries and develop a common position of all industry participants.
