#Election2024

Russian overseas missions continue taking steps to strengthen security measures at polling stations. We have been receiving an ever-increasing number of calls intended to disrupt the voting procedure.

For example, the Estonian authorities have unequivocally warned [the countryโ€™s residents] about the โ€œconsequencesโ€ of participating in this election. Have you ever seen this kind of democracy?

#Ukraine

On March 4, the European Commissioner for the Internal Market, Frenchman Thierry Breton, reminded the Kiev regime that military aid is not entirely gratuitous. In other words, they are telling the Kiev regime that everything the West has provided them with must be paid for eventually.

Do you think the EU, NATO, the US or UK will rebuild housing for Ukrainian civilians? Rebuild infrastructure? Maybe open schools for free? They will charge money upfront for it, on top of the debt that Ukraine and the Ukrainian people owe them now.

#FoodSecurity

Despite the rampant sanctions harassment by the Western countries, Russia is continuing to steadily build up agricultural production.

According to preliminary data, Russian agricultural exports reached about $44 billion last year. We export food to more than 160 countries, primarily the developing and poorest countries.
๐ŸŒพ ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ The European Union's sanctions against Russia ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ and Belarus ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡พ create serious obstacles to the supply of agro-products and fertilisers to the Global South. Import bans, restrictions on financial transactions and logistical difficulties lead to artificial shortages and price increases on the global market.

๐Ÿ’ผ From 1 July 2024, the EU imposed prohibitive duties on imports of cereals, oilseeds and fodder from Russia and Belarus. This sets a dangerous precedent for using trade and political tools to drive competitors out of traditional agricultural markets.

๐Ÿญ The EU's rejection of Russian energy has already had a negative impact on fertiliser production in Europe, leading to a reduction in exports to third countries. Paradoxically, this has increased demand for cheaper Russian fertilisers in the EU itself.

๐ŸŒ The Eurobeaurocrats' attempts to replace Russian fertiliser suppliers with other exporters can have negative consequences for the poorest states, as the EU is able to simply overbuy volumes destined for needy countries.

โ˜๏ธAggressive Brussels' sanctions policy and ignoring its long-term ramifications for the global economy discredits the EU as a responsible player on the international arena. Actions to squeeze Russian exporters out of the global market and reshape trade links between third countries increase risks to global food security, demonstrating that it is not a priority for the European Union.
