Le 3️⃣mai a été proclamé #JournéeDeLaLibertéDeLaPresse par l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies en 1993. Son objectif est d'attirer l'attention sur les problèmes liés à #LibertéDeLaPresse, aux droits des journalistes et à la création de conditions propices à leur travail en toute sécurité.

📍Ces dernières années, les médias russes ont été confrontés à la répression dans les pays de l'Occident collectif. Le régime de Kiev a lancé une véritable chasse aux journalistes russes.

⚡️Nous vous présentons l'exposition "Morts pour la vérité", réalisée par des journalistes travaillant dans la zone de guerre.

📍L'objectif du projet est de garder en mémoire les noms de tous les travailleurs des médias qui ont donné leur vie pour la liberté d'expression.

☝️La sécurité des journalistes est une des questions importantes dans le cadre du mandat de #UNESCO –  la Directrice générale de l'Organisation a le devoir de "condamner l'assassinat de journalistes sans distinction".
📆6 мая в преддверии празднования #ДеньПобеды Постпред России 🇷🇺 при #UNESCO Р.Ж.Аляутдинов вместе с Послом России во Франции А.Ю.Мешковым и руководителями дипмиссий стран СНГ почтили память сражавшихся против фашизма советских солдат на военном кладбище Нуайе-Сен-Мартен во Франции. Церемония возложения венков прошла у мемориала «Цветы свободы».

Это самое большое захоронение советских солдат во Франции – на нем похоронено около 4650 человек.

📆 On 6 May, at the Noyers-Saint-Martin military cemetery in France, on the eve of the #VictoryDay celebrations, Rinat Alyautdinov, Permanent Delegate of Russia 🇷🇺 to #UNESCO together with the Ambassador of Russia to France Aleksey Meshkov and heads of the CIS diplomatic missions honoured the memory of Soviet soldiers who fought against fascism. The wreath-laying ceremony was held at the "Flowers of Freedom" memorial.

This is the largest burial site of Soviet soldiers in France, with about 4,650 people buried there.

📆On 15 May, PermDel of Russia 🇷🇺 to UNESCO and PermDel of Belarus 🇧🇾 to UNESCO will hold a presentation of the serial transnational Russian-Belarusian nomination to the #UNESCO World Heritage List – “Memorials to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War: Brest Fortress and Mamayev Kurgan”.
 
📍The event coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and will be held at the Russian House of Science and Culture in Paris.
 
The nomination presentation will include speeches by the director of the Russian Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D.Likhachev Mr.Vladimir Aristarkhov, by the director of the “Brest Fortress-Hero Memorial” Mr.Alexander Korkotadze and the director of the Museum-Reserve “The Battle of Stalingrad” Mr. Aleksei Dementev.
 
At the end of the presentation a musical programme will be performed by theatre and cinema actress Ms Irina Medvedeva and the Choir of the Cheremetieff Grad Academy of Music under the direction of Ms Ekaterina Ferrari.
15/05, la Délégation de🇷🇺auprès de l’UNESCO et la Délégation de 🇧🇾auprès de l'UNESCO organiseront une présentation de la proposition d'inscription transnational en serie sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial de #UNESCO: Mémoriaux aux héros de la Grande Guerre Patriotique: «Forteresse de Brest» et «Mamaev Kurgan».

L'événement coïncide avec le 80e anniversaire de la Victoire de la Grande Guerre Patriotique et se tiendra à la Maison russe de la science et de la culture à Paris.

La présentation comprendra des discours de M. Vladimir Aristarkhov, directeur de l'Institut russe de recherche sur le patrimoine culturel et naturel, de M. Alexander Korkotadze, directeur du «Complexe commémoratif de la Forteresse de Brest» et de M. Aleksei Dementev, directeur du Musée-réserve «La bataille de Stalingrad».

À la fin de la présentation, un programme musical sera interprété par l'actrice de théâtre et de cinéma Mme Irina Medvedeva et le chœur de l'Académie de Musique Cheremetieff Grad sous la direction de Mme Ekaterina Ferrari.
⚡️Students of Moscow School No. 1306 "School of Young Politicians" were among the 20 winners of the international short film competition "When Sound Creates Image". The competition has been held since 2021 among students of UNESCO Associated Schools.

The announcement of the winners and the screening of their works took place on May 15, 2025 in Cannes as part of the Cannes Cinéphiles programme of the Cannes Film Festival. The Russian laureates sent a video greeting to the event.

This year, 120 films from 34 countries were submitted to the competition. The jury was headed by #UNESCO Deputy Director-General for Education Stefania Giannini.

🏛️Today, on International Metrology Day, a scientific symposium dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Metric Convention, the first intergovernmental agreement in the field of metrology, is being held at #UNESCO headquarters with the participation of the delegation from Rosstandart.
 
🇷🇺 Russia was among the 17 countries that were the first to sign the Convention. At present 64 countries have joined the document.
 
🌏 The Metric Convention has influenced scientific and technical progress in all countries, as thanks to it the metric system of measures was introduced, and then the International System of Units, on the basis of which the International System of Measurement was created and functions.

❗️We congratulate the metrology community on this important day and wish further successes in the professional field!
📆May 24 is the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. The holiday is dedicated to the day of remembrance of the Holy brothers St.Cyril and Methodius, equal to the apostles, creators of the first Slavic alphabet.

☝️This day symbolizes the unity of the Slavs and the preservation of cultural values.

🗣️More than 400 million people in the world speak languages of the Slavic group, the most widespread of which is the Russian language.

At #UNESCO, Russia 🇷🇺advocates for multilingualism, the promotion of the Russian language and culture.
🌍 May 25 – Africa Day

🔹 On this day, the Organization of African Unity was created. The date reflects an important stage in the history of the continent, associated with the process of decolonization and the acquisition of sovereignty by African states.

🔹The Russian Federation 🇷🇺 is actively developing cooperation with African countries, including through #UNESCO. We are committed to the implementation of UNESCO Global priority "Africa".

🔹 On this day, we wish our African partners further prosperity and success!
On 6️⃣June, the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, the Permanent Delegation of Russia🇷🇺 together with the Delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will celebrate the Russian Language Day at #UNESCO Headquarters .

📍 This Day was established by UN Department of Public Information in 2010. Its celebration, along with other official UN language days, was welcomed by the UN General Assembly in 2017.

📍 Russian Language Day is celebrated for the third time at UNESCO Headquarters (first time in 2023) in line with Executive Board decisions 215EX/29 and 217EX/26.

⚡️At 6 p.m., Room I will host the official opening ceremony and a concert by a world-famous jazz quartet.
