#RTX works, I must say. After a few days with RTX 2060, it becomes so clear, that you starting to google for more games with that technology. And with #RTXon guys from #NVIDIA just got 5% bigger market share in Q3 of 2019, reached 73% in units and even more in revenue.

PS. I've got Acer Helios 300 (i7 9750H + RTX 2060 + 144Hz 3ms screen). Works as charm!
Hey, folks! Here is the test in 4K with insane 1024 samples and Full GI with up to 128 bounces to compare #CUDA, #RTX and CPU cores with each other. And fancy Studio Driver with simple Game Ready Driver by #NVIDIA.

Well, the result is pretty much the same for all #Blender benchmarks I've tried: Optix render is very fast, sometimes up to 40% faster. And Studio driver makes no difference to render times. And CPU is much slower, even if it packed with 12 threads.

#Raytracing can bring visual fidelity to games, but let's see, how it works! Here's the official #CallofDuty Modern Warfare lecture to describe their approach to shadows!

New #Steam chart shows that #NVIDIA is dominating hard with #RTX 3000 cards owned by 1/5 of active users.
Graphics engineer found that Portal RTX isn't actually limited by Raytracing in general even on Radeon 6000 cards. So, if you guessed that the game's performance is a joke – you were right!

Instead, the game is ridiculously poorly optimized in totally different areas, so it's low performance on any GPU is kinda intentional:

There's a huge ubershader, that somehow makes way too many operations outside Raytracing pipeline. It is either a system-wise driver bug in general or API bug.

This is how you can completely ruin the art direction of the game by adding Raytracing mindlessly. The first one is technically correct, but soulless shit.

The original (second image) is exactly how it was intentionally designed (before the recent "update").
