It seems that everyone is generally pleased with Avowed: the game isn't trying to be a huge step forward, but making such a great step back, compared to "modern gaming"!
You can be evil, you can be who you wanna be. The world is big, but not huge and overwhelming, and the whole thing is a bit mediocre by modern standards, but has a very nice flow. It's odd to share a GOOD review by IGN these days! 😁

You will not believe it, but XBox have found a unique feature they forgot possible — it is called MARKETING. A forgotten one, no doubt, but elders assure it is required for games to make any money.
For the upcoming Avowed release Microsoft ordered dozens of street placements in North America, Western Europe, and Asia. After traditional banners and video ads, street art started to appear. This one is from Berlin.

After the official release, Avowed was unable to reach 20 000 concurrent players on Steam. The results are devastating for such a big game with all the advertisements they have done during the last couple of months.
Yes, I'm sure, millions are playing via XBox subscription (no), but keep in mind that even The Veilguard managed to reach 5+ times more players.
