Reminder that the concept of national identity was created by 60s academics to destroy nationalism, If you use the term national identity then you basically proclaim the National character is something you choose basically. There's a reason why German nationalist and italian nationalist literature is against this stuff! Identity is actualization whilst character is the realistic reflection.
