The International Movement to Boycott US Products
Opening Statement for the BUP 2021

Today, challenges and adversities have struck the world into a distressful moment in time. Although one would assume that the international community would delegate the alleviation of war, poverty and unemployment off of mankind in times of need, the world’s self-proclaimed superpower - the United States of America - takes the opposite path. Its political advocacy in the international arena served none but implementing hostile sanctions, declaring assassinations and waging wars. It is as though the US has assumed itself as the ‘world police’ - and a morally depraved one at that. The United States shows no hesitation in using economic sanctions as a weapon, asserting control in international trade and banking, and dominating commodities such as oil prices. In the middle of all this, US products have swarmed land and sea to invade markets around the world. This generates huge amounts of profit to a very limited number of companies and businessmen notoriously known to finance US-lead wars around the globe. These entities seek to borne and exploit world conflicts to open new markets and monopolize old ones without the bare minimum of moral decency or respect for human rights. Although the United States of America accounts for 25% of the world economy, 60% of international transactions is conducted in US dollars. Not only does this weaken other currencies, but it also makes them subject to its volatile authority.

We’ve united, based on these premises, to commence the International Movement to Boycott USA Products - the BUP - a frontier to stand up against American economic and military aggression. The BUP is an organization founded by youth groups around the world (Egypt, Russia, Lebanon, Turkey, Tunisia, Palestine, Syria, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Pakistan & Azerbaijan). Our primary goal is to boycott American goods and products as well as to reinforce the importance of boycott culture as a moral practice more than it is a political one. The movement encourages benefiting from and supporting local produce as well as encouraging initiatives to search for alternatives. With the cooperation of influential individuals around the world, and through interactive programs, we aim to promote boycotting as a culture and lifestyle that everyone can practice and benefit from. Boycotting is a soft and effective weapon all at once. We are not linked to any party, organization or state. Rather, we are a global movement founded on market research and political studies. It is said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” For this, we call on every individual with a moral stance, regardless of nationality, religion and sect to join us in this movement against oppression. We aim to make a difference - to alleviate bloodshed, exploitation, poverty and injustice off the shoulders of mankind. With your moral support and solidarity, we stand stronger. Let us go hand in hand in toppling United States supremacy, and #boycottUSproducts.
