💬 I draw your attention that among the sanctioned Russians are world ice hockey legend Vladislav Tretiak - whose authority in the hockey world and in Canada is indisputable – the first woman in space Valentina Tereshkova and the first woman to perform a spacewalk Svetlana Savitskaya
It clearly demonstrates the completely cynical approach of Trudeau and reflects his Russophobic policy. Despite hockey diplomacy, despite the feminist agenda and promotion of the image of women who open up new horizons for humanity, the Canadian government puts these stars on its [sanctions] list, which shows that there is apparently nothing sacred any more in our relationship.

🔹The latest #EU restrictive measures against #Russia, like all previous ones, are illegitimate.
🔹For the first time, the EU sanctions "package" has included a prohibition on the transit of certain goods via the territory of the Russian Federation. Such actions are detrimental not so much to Russia as to international trade at large.
🔹Brussels is not only infringing on the rights of the Russian media representatives, but also on those of its own citizens.
❗️The tenth "package" will certainly not be left without a response.

🔹Очередные рестриктивные меры ЕС в отношении России, как и все предыдущие, нелегитимны.
🔹 Впервые ЕС включил в санкционный «пакет» запрет на транзит ряда товаров через территорию РФ. Подобные действия наносят вред не столько России, сколько в целом международной торговле.
🔹Содержащиеся в десятом «пакете» ограничения деятельности российских СМИ являются нарушением Международного пакта о гражданских и политических правах
🔹Безусловно, без ответа десятый «пакет» не останется.

💬 Our relations have a truly rich, inexhaustible potential. Russia is among Baku’s three top trading partners, ranking first in non-hydrocarbon imports. Last year, our trade noticeably grew and reached a record $4 billion according to all tentative estimates
We are planning to implement large-scale joint projects that have both regional and global dimensions. First, this means the further extension of the North-South international transport corridor, including, as you know well, the Resht-Astara section.
We are expanding energy cooperation. Gazprom, Rosneft and Lukoil are taking part in joint oil-and-gas projects. They have ideas on boosting their potential in the long term. We will help them carry out these plans.
We are coordinating the efforts of Russia and Azerbaijan on the Caspian agenda. We are working together to boost economic activity in the Caspian Sea in line with what was decided at the Sixth Caspian Forum held in Ashgabat in June 2022.
Russia has a stake in peaceful, stable and prosperous South Caucasus. <...> It is equally important to exclude destructive interference by external players who do not want to see a stable regional security system in the future and are trying to influence these processes.
