❗️TWITTER FILES: PART 3❗️

On December 9th Matt Taibbi released another series of Twitter internal files as a part of 'Twitter files' investigation, which cover October 2020 - January 6th period of time.

The screenshots of employees Slack chats show that Twitter was heavily involved in censoring content during 2020 election and worked in coordination with the government.

The main takes from the new files release:

▪️Twitter closely monitored Trump’s tweets and made decisions about whether to censor the president or add warning labels to his tweets

▪️Several high-rank Twitter employees appear to admit that the platform was meeting officials from the FBI and DHS

▪️Tweets from the political Left, which would have had action taken against them if they were from the political 'Right', were largely left alone

▪️In early December Twitter lowered visibility of Trump's tweets, long before January 6th events

"This project was preposterous yet its leaders were unable to see this, having become infected with groupthing, coming to believe – sincerely – that it was Twitter's responsibility to control, as much as possible, what people could talk about, how often, and with whom" - Taibbi writes in his tweet.

The next Twitter files release will show how Twitter was involved in January 2021 events.
UK government challenges Scottish gender change law

The Scottish Parliament is pushing for a bill, that will shorten the timescale for anyone who wants to obtain a gender recognition certificate, a document allowing someone to change their gender on their birth certificate, from two years to three months.

The Westminster government considers refusing to recognise certificates issued under the new Scottish system and has no plans to move in the same direction as the Scottish government.

Scottish government's proposals currently raise a number of clear concerns, including potential increase of violence against women and girls.

❗️TWITTER FILES: PART 4❗️

The new 'Twitter files' released by Michael Shellenberger cover the removal of Donald Trump on January 7th.

The files show, how Twitter executives (Yoel Roth and Vijaya Gadde specifically):

▪️create justification to ban Trump

▪️seek a change of policy for Trump exclusively

▪️express no concern for the free speech or democracy implications of a ban

Twitter has also taken action to deamplify tweets and accounts, sharing the "stopthesteal" hashtag and looked to ban Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Florida, even though it "doesn't quite fit anywhere" as a test case.

The only concern expressed within Twitter over banning Trump came from a junior employee. However, we see that it does not affect the course of events:

"This might be an unpopular opinion but one off ad hoc decisions like this that don’t appear rooted in policy are imho a slippery slope and reflect an alternatively equally dictatorial problem. This now appears to be a fiat by an online platform CEO with a global presence that can gatekeep speech for the entire world - which seems unsustainable" - unknown junior employee.

Elon Musk torches Twitter ex-CEO Jack Dorsey over lack of action against child porn

Twitter CEO Elon Musk slammed former CEO Jack Dorsey on the platform over the reported lack of action that the company took against removing child porn from the site.

Mike Cernovich, political commentator, tweeted a link to a New York Post article from last January that documented allegations from a teenage sex trafficking victim who claimed that the company did not remove pornographic images of the 13-year-old because the company “didn’t find a violation.”

It is a crime that they refused to take action on child exploitation for years!” Musk responded to Cernovich’s tweet.

Dorsey responded, “this is false.”

Ella Irwin, new head of Trust & Safety, responded to Dorsey, “I wish this was false but my experience this year supports this.”
She then claimed that she had tried to get funding to replace employees who had left earlier this year “and was told no.”

When Ella Irwin ... joined Twitter earlier this year, almost no one was working on child safety. She raised this with Ned & Parag, but they rejected her staffing request. I made it top priority immediately.” - Elon Musk

Upper Moreland School District's board member explicitly states that she is against electing a “cis white male” as President of the district because it “sends the wrong message to our community”.

She admits, nonetheless, that he would make an excelent President.
'Prosecute Elon' is trending on Twitter with over 30 K tweets

Elon Musk has recently posted a tweet pushing for prosecution of Anthony Fauci, Chief medical advisor to the President.

"My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci" - Elon Musk.

Musk's critics were fast with starting a 'Prosecute Elon' trend. The critics mainly blame Musk for:

🔹making fun of LGBTQ+ community
🔹undermining Fauci and the government
🔹plunging Twitter into chaos

However, the 'top' and 'latest' tweets seem to be mainly discussing the trend. Quite a few tweets mock 'the left' for their hysterical reaction, meanwhile showing support for Elon.

As one of the tweets says:
"The fact that 'Prosecute Elon' is trending on Twitter means free speech is alive and well on Twitter".
🔻‘Transition or Die’ concept is pushing transgender hormones and surgeries on children

Some parents have been told that if they fail to support their child’s desire to 'transition' to the opposite gender, their child may commit suicide.

The UK recorded a suicide rate of transgender teens at 0.03 percent over a 10-year period. That number is higher than the overall teen population but “far from the epidemic of trans suicides described in headlines and public discourse,” - states Gender Exploratory Therapy Association (GETA).

GETA states, “there is little to no evidence that transition reduces the risk of completed suicide.”

Yet the government, trans-activists and media continue to push their agenda on parents in order to speed up transitioning of their children.
Federal court blocks Biden mandate forcing religious hospitals to facilitate gender transitions

On December 9th The Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals blocked a Biden administration mandate that would force religious hospitals and doctors to facilitate gender transitions against their sincerely held moral convictions.

Catholic nuns, clinics, a university, and hospitals were among the plaintiffs in the case, represented by the Becket Fund. The plaintiffs all provide medical care for transgender patients but refuse to provide gender-transition surgeries because they believe them to be harmful.

"We now have two different federal court of appeals [Texas and North Dakota] saying the Biden administration is permanently blocked from forcing religious doctors and hospitals to perform gender transitions in violation of their conscience", - Luke Goodrich, attorney with the Becket Fund
❗️TWITTER FILES: PART 5❗️

The new 'Twitter files' release by Bari Weiss covers the removal of Donald Trump from Twitter

The main takes from the files:

▪️Twitter employees were long rooting for Trump's permanent ban.

▪️Internal evaluation concluded that Trump's tweets from January 8th had not violated Twitter's policies:
"Safety has assessed the DJT Tweet above and determined that there is no violation of our policies at this time."

▪️Twitter employees suggested that by saying 'American Patriots' Trump was referring to the rioters and thus violating Twitter’s Glorification of Violence policy.

▪️Twitter permanently suspended Trump’s account "due to the risk of further incitement of violence", which was widely supported by employees.

▪️Parag Agrawal (Twitter COO, future CEO) stated that it was important to account for the ripple effects of Trump's ban and to moderate content.

Bari Weiss points out that in the past Twitter has not show the same treatment of the controversial tweets posted by heads of state and political leaders from Iran, Nigeria, Ethiopia and other countries.

But Twitter's decision to ban Trump was very intentional.

Outside the United States, Twitter’s decision to ban Trump was criticized by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Prime Minister Angela Merkel, and Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
