#NEWS | American encrypted messaging app Signal stopped replying to cooperation requests from the Ukrainian government.

Previously, Signal provided the Ukrainian government with an individual channel for communication and requests, however, now the company stopped replying to requests submitted via that.

In the past, Telegram was the only major messaging app that avoided cooperation with the Ukrainian government, although the situation improved following arrest of the app's boss Pavel Durov in Paris in 2024.

Now, Signal became the single most unresponsive messaging service.

Earlier this year, Russian hackers managed to get access to many Signal accounts used by Ukrainian soldiers. Signal used to be and still remains one of the apps that Ukrainians tend to use for communication in combat.
