The Russian House in New Delhi hosted a screening of the war drama "Road to Berlin"
As part of the weekly film screenings dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, viewers of the Russian House in New Delhi were able to touch living history through the war drama "Road to Berlin" by director Sergei Popov.
The film is based on the diaries of the poet Konstantin Simonov and the story "Two in the Steppe" by Emmanuel Kazakevich. This is not just a film, but a frank look at the war, where there is no place for pathos, but there is a place for fate, duty and human feelings.
This story about the war is not about generals and strategists, but about ordinary soldiers who made their choice on the front lines: to live, fight, die - and win. It touched the hearts of the viewers, allowing everyone to see echoes of the feat of the entire people in the heroes of the film.

A motorcycle rally dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in New Delhi
In the very heart of the Republic of India — New Delhi — the solemn roar of engines was heard: more than a hundred motorcyclists from Russia, Belarus and India took part in a memorial motorcycle rally dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The bright and meaningful event was held with the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of India and the Embassy of Russia in the Republic of India.
The column of bikers was headed by motorcycles decorated with a symbol of heroism and courage — the Victory Banner. The route ran from the Russian Embassy to the Russian House in New Delhi — a cultural center that became a living monument to historical memory and friendship of peoples on this day.
The grand opening was accompanied by speeches by the Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in India Mr. Roman Babushkin and the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Dr. Elena Remizova, who emphasized the importance of preserving the historical truth and spiritual heritage of the generation of Victors.
The guests of the event were shown the RT.doc documentary film "Eternal Heroes" - a heartfelt story about people who defended the freedom of the world on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. The film evoked a deep emotional response, reminding each viewer of the price of Victory and the fortitude of the Soviet people.
The cultural program was decorated with a bright concert with the participation of the young rock band "Bridge" and Indian musicians. Songs uniting generations and cultures sounded on the stage of the Russian House, causing a sincere response and applause from the audience.
The program also included a thematic exhibition dedicated to Soviet motorcyclists — those who not only covered kilometers of front-line roads, but also made an invaluable contribution to the Great Victory. Photographs, artifacts, stories — all of this became a reminder of exploits that have no statute of limitations.

On April 12, Cosmonautics Day, a question and answer session with Russian cosmonaut Mr. Denis Matveev was held at the Russian House in New Delhi, which was attended by more than 160 people.
Everyone was able to ask a few questions about this difficult profession. Special attention was paid to everyday life, food and, in general, the romance of life in space.
The Russian film "The Challenge" attracted exceptional attention of the Indian audience.
This movie, created on the International Space Station, is still the only one in the whole world.
The film, which, like Yuri Gagarin, “conquered” space, made an indelible impression on the audience. Indian youth with even greater desire wanted to fly into space, feel weightlessness and see the planet Earth from the other side.
Mr. Denis Matveev, a Russian cosmonaut and Hero of Russia, and Mr. Igor Koreshev, Head of the International Coordination Department at the Cosmonaut Training Center, also attended the screening.
