On January 28, the Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia, co-chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Media Forum "Dialogue of Cultures" Mr Ashot Jazoyan met Indian journalists at the Russian House in New Delhi. The guest of the evening presented to the Indian media the history of the formation of the Forum, its goals and objectives, inviting Indian journalists to take part in the "Dialogue of Cultures," which will be held in St. Petersburg in May this year. The story aroused great interest among the Indian participants of the event, many of whom expressed a desire to visit the Northern capital of Russia as part of the Media Forum.

More than 100 people took part in a seminar dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The speakers at today's event were representatives from the National School of Drama.
In their speeches, they noted that Chekhov had a huge influence on the development of world drama. His plays "The Cherry Orchard", "Three Sisters", "The Seagull" and others have become classics of theatrical art. They continue to be staged in theaters in different countries, including India, inspiring directors and actors to new interpretations, reminding us of the importance of the human spirit and inner freedom.
It was also emphasized during the seminar that Chekhov's world is a world in which there is always a place for poetry, high human relationships and feelings. That is why his work, many decades later, remains relevant for new generations of readers around the world.

Seminar dedicated to the joint Indian-Soviet anthropological expedition of the 1970s-1980s and the memory of the outstanding Russian scientist, Professor Sergei Arutyunov was held at the Russian House in New Delhi.
The welcoming speech was given by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India, Elena Remizova, and the leading researcher at the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Svetlana Ryzhakova.
The event included a discussion between Russian and Indian anthropologists and ethnographers based on the scientific material obtained by Professor Arutyunov, as well as modern ethnographic data from field work in remote rural areas of India.
The seminar also discussed in detail the work of Sergei Arutyunov, who made a significant contribution to the development of ethnographic theory, developing such problems as the interaction of traditional and urban components in the culture of non-European peoples, put forward conceptual ideas of the rotation mechanism of innovations in traditional ethnic culture, conducted a comparative analysis of bilingualism and biculturalism, identified the role of information links as the main mechanism for the formation of ethnic communities, and developed principles for constructing a formalized typology of hunting tools.
The event was attended by scientists, cultural figures, journalists, and Indian students.

The Russian-Indian Short Film Festival was held at the Russian House in New Delhi. For the first time in India, Russian films were shown: "Vovka" by director Oksana Stashenko, "Separation" by director Maria Melenevskaya, "Valya, who has not changed" by director Anastasia Khristova.
The guests of the program were also shown the short Indian film "Nadezhda" by director Raman Dwivedi. The film tells about the internal transformation of a person under the influence of thee works of A.S. Pushkin.

A meeting of the youth club "ДРУЖБА दोस्ती" was held at the Russian House in New Delhi.

It was dedicated to the journey of two dozen young Indian artists who went to Russia, visiting monasteries, studying culture, art and architecture. During the meeting, three of the participants of the trip - Shihant Sablania, Harmandeep Singh and Shraddha Bansal - shared their impressions and told how this trip influenced their work.

Chairman of the club Aakshat Sinha emphasized that such events allow young Indians to understand Russia more deeply and play an important role in strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.

An exhibition of Russian artist Ivan Yazikov, showcasing his collection "The Book of Letters," has opened in New Delhi. This unique collection, which the artist has been working on for over 20 years, demonstrates a creative approach to the Russian alphabet.
Yazikov explores the forms and images of letters, turning them into true works of art. Each letter in his rendition is a separate story, filled with meaning and emotion.

The Russian House in New Delhi hosted an interactive lecture, "The Fairytale World of A.S. Pushkin," dedicated to the legacy of the great Russian poet and writer.

The event featured Olga Levchenko, who delivered a lecture on the cultural significance of "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" and "The Tale of the Golden Antelope." Historian and cultural expert Anna Esparza presented a film and lecture exploring Pushkin's influence on global folklore traditions. Children's author Anastasia Strokina shared insights about Russia’s mysterious and enchanting places, while Egor Tomsky introduced an interactive project, "Tsarevna: A New Approach to Fairytale Games."

Students from Sancta Maria School and the A.M. Kadakin School at the Embassy of Russia in India actively participated, engaging in discussions and posing thought-provoking questions.

The parties agreed to work out the idea of publishing works by contemporary Indian authors in Russian magazines, as well as encouraging Indian translators working with texts of contemporary Russian writers and poets.

A concert of the honored folk art group, the folklore and choreographic ensemble "Echo of the Mountains" from Khasavyurt (Republic of Dagestan) was held at the Russian House in New Delhi with the support of the Russian Embassy in India and the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India.

On February 6, with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo in India and with the assistance of the Youth Club at the Russian House, a meeting was held between Russian artist Mr Ivan Yazykov and director of the Delhi College of Arts Mr Ashwani Kumar Prithvivasi and students.The meeting participants listened to a lecture and artistic style, a composition based on "phonetic realism" using alphabets and elements of real life as direct metaphors.
