As part of the development of interregional cooperation, the Russian House in New Delhi organized a meeting between the Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Territorial Development, Urban Environment and Infrastructure, Andrey Maksimov, and the Chairman of the Council of the Municipal Formation of the Syktyvkar Urban District, Anna Du, with the All-India Council of Mayors and the Indian Institute of Public Administration.
The Council members present at the meeting included former and
current mayors of Chandigarh, Haridwar, Agra, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Rajpur, Kozhikode.
The event was opened by the Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in India Roman Babushkin and the Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in India Elena Remizova, who spoke about the BRICS Municipal Forum and the Economic Congress of the Municipal Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg on November 21 and 22 of this year. During the event, Indian participants were presented with presentations of Russian programs in the field of urban development, as well as cultural and tourist aspects of the development of Russian regions using the example of the Komi Republic.
The interlocutors also discussed the prospects for the development of Russian-Indian relations at the level of cities and settlements.

On November 7, 2024, the Russian House in New Delhi hosted an event on the Russia-India pedagogical exchange, organized by the Russian Committee of the World Organization for Preschool Education (OMEP). Larisa Shevchenko, President of the Russian OMEP Committee, held a workshop for colleagues from Indian schools, in which she spoke about the committee's experience in the field of sustainable development and preservation of cultural heritage. She invited colleagues to join the OMEP Committee's international project "Studying the Culture of Different Countries through Pedagogical Exchange". The event was an important step in strengthening pedagogical ties between Russia and India, creating a platform for exchanging experiences and introducing new educational practices. Larisa Shevchenko noted that joint efforts can lead to significant changes in education and cultural exchange. In the process of working on the project "Studying the Culture of Different Countries through Pedagogical Exchange", special attention is paid to involving children in the study of traditional values ​​​​through games and creativity. Ekaterina Nasonova (Project Manager of the OMEP Committee) shared successful examples of the implementation of this project in different countries, which inspired Indian teachers to actively participate.
The master class conducted by Marina Yanvareva (Director of the Ladushki kindergarten, Russia, Moscow) aroused great interest among Indian colleagues, who were able not only to learn new painting techniques, but also to get acquainted with Russian culture through the prism of creativity. Unique examples of matryoshka dolls created in the Indian style will display the synergy of two cultures and symbolize the beginning of fruitful cooperation.
The Russian Committee thanks the Russian House for its support and cooperation and expresses hope that the experience gained at this event will become the basis for long-term joint initiatives that will contribute to the development of educational programs and cultural exchange in the future.

The Russian House in New Delhi together with the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots (IARC) organized a visit to the Mala Smriti orphanage located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Let us recall that in March 2025, the "Corner of Russia" was opened on the territory of the college - a cultural and educational space that became a center of attraction for students interested in the Russian language, history and culture of our country. As a sign of strengthening Russian-Indian friendship and on the eve of the Victory Day celebration, the staff of the Russian House, representatives of the IARC and the college administration laid the "Garden of Friendship", planting 10 trees on the campus.
During the new visit, representatives of the Russian House and IARC highly appreciated the active work of the "Corner of Russia" and its significant role in promoting international humanitarian cooperation. The issues of promising areas for further interaction and implementation of joint projects were discussed. According to the established good tradition, college applicants were presented with ribbons in the colors of the Russian tricolor - a symbol of friendship and mutual respect.
