The “Candle of Memory” event was held at the Russian House in New Delhi as a sign of admiration for the participants of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), veterans of the Home Front, and millions of people tortured in concentration camps.
👱♂️ Director of the Russian House in New Delhi Oleg Osipov reminded Indians and Russian compatriots that June 22 - the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow - is one of the most tragic pages in the history of our country. “In 1941, the USSR was attacked not only by Nazi Germany. On the same day Italy and Romania declared war on, and on June 25 - Finland. The Wehrmacht included military units from Spain, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Holland, Norway, Croatia and other European countries,” he noted.
